Mother Nature is making things hard
Due to the extremely wet conditions we've had this Spring, a number of fairways have not been cut properly yet - if you're thinking of playing either of the Chedoke courses soon, you might want to let the temperature get a little warmer so it can dry out the course a bit. That being said, I'm looking forward to going back later this Summer.
Course conditions
It’s a swamp. The course should not be opened with these conditions
Good day on the course
Finally some nice weather. Course was in good shape, a little wet so no carts out. Will be nice once we get some consecutive sunny days.
Not bad, not great
Early season golf. Course was too wet so fairway in certain places was the rough. Course layout was fine but nothing special. Greens were surprisingly good for this time of year so that’s a bonus. Just moved to the area so likely won’t play it again because there’s so many options. Long par 3s, a few long par 4s.
Played it for $35 taxes in w/ a pull cart so value was certain there. Would play for $40 tops.
Quirky yet fun
And the greens had been aerated. All in all worth it for a hot deal
Hamilton gem
I read some great reviews about the Beddoe course at Chedoke and decided to check it out. It is in great shape with some interesting holes. I used almost every club in my bag. I enjoyed the various types of holes, from long par 3's to short and tight par 4's and one fairly easy par 5. Good challenge and well worth the money.
Course from the whites is perfect for my game at just under 6000 yards . Greens are quick and challenging if your on the wrong side of hole . Course in very good condition. Layout can confusing on your first round . I enjoyed my round and didn't play well
Terrific
Beautiful course with great ambiance in excellent condition.
Very well maintained with great fairways, T boxes and virtually perfect greens.
A pleasure playng there.
Fair price for the money
Great course for the value...would play this course multiple times in a year. Good layout, some holes are challenging and make plan out your approach.
Beddoe
The course was quite dry and hard due to lack of rain recently. Greens playable but quicker than normal.
Great value for price but pace of play was slow (over 5 hours).
Beautiful day with 2 couples on a good course.
Course is a bit shorter as reflected in Par 70 rating ( short two par 5’s). Still challenging. A number of holes cross a steam, at the foot of the Niagara Escarpment the terrain is hilly, so some interesting lies if not placing ball well. Club selection can be tricky with some of the elevated greens. Our pace was a bit slow ( one of the group struggled a lot early), so let 4 groups play through during our round ( they were twosomes). Greens were in very good condition, but not particularly fast. A lot of trees have been removed from course over the past 5 years due to ice storms and ash borer infestation, but still quite a picturesque and enjoyable course. A course I like to play with friends who may not be huge hitters, but who enjoy a challenging layout. Definitely play again and would recommend to a friend.
