About
Located only minutes away from downtown Hamilton and offering a spectacular view of the city, Chedoke Golf Club features two 18-hole championship golf courses. The par-70 Martin Course was built in 1896 and was the original Hamilton Golf & Country Club before it was relocated to Ancaster. It plays 5, 745 yards from the championship tees.

Tough challenge
I always find the front nine long and boring but back nine more interesting layout course in general good shape fairways and greens.
Course layout
The course layout is terrible. There is a hiking trail that runs through the golf course people can get hit easily plus shared greens with other holes is not ideal. Period crisscrossing in front of people driving on other holes to get to your hole is also not ideal.
Previous review was an error
My previous review was supposed to be about Chippewa Creek not Chedoke. I actually love Chedoke both Martin and Beddoe, the staff are always fantastic and accommodating and the track is always in good condition. Try to get out to Chedoke at least once a week and will continue to do so would and always do recommend this place to everyone
Starter and Marshal
Would be a nice fun track to play more often except for the starter and marshal who go out of their way to make sure you don’t enjoy your day. With the condescending attitude and following Chou around the course. They made it feel like we were not welcome there at all. Would never recommend this place to anyone until these guys have been dealt with
Fall golf
The course was is good condition, pace of play we never waited at any tee block , we teed off at 12:00 , we walked the course , it’s very hilly very good exercise.
Paying over the phone
I wish there is a way to pay online or by e-transfer.
It was very challenging to hold of a staff over the phone to pay in advance.
City could do a better job
The greens were bad. The course is cut up poorly. Bird mess everywhere. Way too much interference on the course, from public pathways, and other whole interference, and the parking is not enough.
Good value course
Strange layout and high likelihood you’ll be yelling fire as many holes are very close together, but quite a fun little course and great value
Chedoke Martin - good value for the price
Hadn’t played it in years and wasn’t sure what to expect. Considering the price, it’s well worth it. Course has some challenging holes (a few par 4’s on the front 9 are very long). Friendly staff. Course conditions more then acceptable I’ll be back
Beautiful Views
Super helpful staff and a very reasonable price were a great way to start. The layout was fun to play and offered a lot of strategic options right off the tee. Best part was the spectacular view from some of the tee boxes. Good for higher handicappers as errant shots don't cost too much. My only complaint was that the sand was in pretty bad shape. At the end of the round, I really liked the clubhouse which was less club and more pub: very casual and welcoming with great views of the city. Will definitely play again and definitely recommend to friends.
