The range day that went south quick
First off, 90% of the ppl who come to play this course have 0 common sense in terms of pace of play, golf etiquette etc. the amenities are sub par the food is delicious and the waiters are very nice . But the pro has a napoleon complex. I also worked as cart shagger last summer and was told in email to come back this year, he sent and email and then never replied to me after I made sure I let him know I was interested. The guy walks around the place like he’s the best guy and would do anything for anyone, it’s all fake. I advise anyone the joins the course to not take lessons from him either, total waste of money most of the 10 year olds he works with hit the ball better then him. Along with the pace of play being slow and the course conditions being overall sub par, I wouldn’t suggest this place ever again. Goodluck to all that do go, my advice stay far away from Mark Arnet..
Great course
Played here lots of times and will continue to do so! Carts rip and there's lots of long holes and high tee boxes so if you like ripping driver then hitting a roller coaster cart ride to your ball your in luck.
Feel with Nature
It was a pleasure to play at Martin. I am planning repeat plays and definitely recommend enjoying the game there.
The fairways were rough and the rough was brutal
We find this course convenient located, a great price and a challenge. We were a bit disappointed by the length of the grass on the fairways (more like what courses have as the rough cut), and the rough was so deep it was difficult or impossible to find your ball. Good value for your dollar in the area, but I really hope they get the mowers out there.
The Martin
Good conditions, challenging walk! Rent a golf cart and enjoy the hills!
A great old course that's been let go
Played the Martin course today I was disappointed to see beer cans strewn everywhere, garbage, unintended tee boxes, untended sand traps and overgrown grass. The city of Hamilton should be embarrassed as this should be maintained like a jewel it is that was built in 1896.
One positive note is the greens were fast and challenging as usual.
Great value
Loved the course.only knock I have is they don't pick up the cut grass following mowing making it hard to find your ball in the rough.
