Northern Dunes Golf Club
About
Northern Dunes Golf Club is a 18-hole championship course that tumbles across the gently rolling landscape of Bruce Peninsula. The front nine lays across natural sand dunes and while the back nine's landscape required a bit more work, it manages to seamlessly blend with the surroundings. Steve Young, the course architect, incorporated the classic elements of a traditional Scottish links layout but he also wanted the course to have a thoroughly modern feel. The result is a challenging design featuring large greens and over 50 bunkers filled with natural sand strategically placed throughout. The prevailing northwest winds provide another tricky element. Northern Dunes G.C. is ideally situated less than 10 miles from Lake Huron and Sauble Beach and is accessible from all directions.

Course Conditions
Course is in pretty poor condition. Tees need more grass and a couple of greens need serious repairs.
Good enough
Judging by the damage on the greens, the course sees a lot lof traffic and some of those don’t know how to feel. Ball marks.
Slow Play
Played here on Saturday and Sunday and both days got behind a foursome playing very slowly (I was in a twosome) and would not let anyone through. There was no one in front of either of these foursomes so would have been nice if there was a course marshall around to talk to these groups to speed them along.
it was okay
went out to play a round of 18 with my dad and the people behind us were super impatient and almost hit me with their ball cause they couldn’t wait 2 minutes. i went at my booking tee time and they went immediately after me which was still my tee time considering there is a 10 minute time gap
Tee boxes
The tee boxes are i rough shape. The sand in the bunkers, though thin, is nice to play out of.
Another great round at the Dunes, fun partners , hot at 37’
