Cheers to Jake and Tuesday morning greeter
I was really impressed when Jake the greeter ( I believe his name is Jake) wiped down my clubs after my round, loaded my clubs back in my car, even though I didn't tip him in the beginning
My problem was i couldn't break the large bill I did have, as he brought my cart to my car and loaded my sticks when I first arrived.
The Tuesday early morning greeter is very personable as well. Well done, Deerhurst! I only intended to play once, but I came back a second time and it was worth it.
I do believe their clubhouse must open on Mondays. I would have loved a beer after my first round. Again, I came back on Tuesday, so I wasn't overly offended LoL
Scenery
Scenery was awesome, course layout was awesome
Course conditions very poor, very expensive and cart did not have a gps
Would not play again
Two thumbs down
Nice track
Pretty wet but that’s not their fault. Would play again because I would know where to hit some of the blind shots. Overall a great golf experience.
Good golf
Golf was good. The course conditions on the day were very swampy but the layout and pace were great. We were told there was a place to get drinks throughout our round but nothing was open or available leading to a very thirty 4 hours of golf. Recommend bringing your own beverages when attending this course.
Muskoka golf
Very nice and challenging course. I was surprised with the speed of the greens (probably 11 on the stimp meter), considering it's a resort course. I was fortunate to be paired up with a couple that were members. They were super friendly and helpful in navigating through the course.
A must play when visiting Muskoka!
Great Course -
Have been looking forward to playing here for a while and the course did not disappoint. Stunning views, challenging holes, but amenities lacking due to Covid restrictions. Definitely would play again....but please add in some yardage markers! The 150 at least.
Muskoka Charm
Deerhurst Highlands is a Muskoka golf pleasure. Well maintained and designed with nature and northern Ontario landscape at the forefront, it will test your skills. It might be a bit pricey at times but good value at under $100 with a cart included. Will be back to play again, hopefully with calm conditions. Wind makes it a tough track.
Fall Special
Every year we head to Huntsville to enjoy a round of golf on the Highlands course. The colours are spectacular in mid October. We did get some rain on a few holes on an already soft course. Unfortunately we had to stay on cart paths, but the pace of play was still good at 4-1/2 hours. Besides a few extremely wet areas, the course was in very good shape. To be able to still play golf in mid October was very sweet. Greens and sand traps were very good. Staff is very excellent here.
TOUGH
Way too tough for my ability. Not the courses fault. Rented a cart because having knee replacement this month but did WAYmore walking than if I had rented a pull cart. Course conditions meant I had to stay on path and wish someone had made that clear since made for a long painful miserable day. I should have cut my losses after nine but it is a beautiful layout and decided to push on and let with a sour opinion. Lololol.
My fault but probably won't be back. Tried Deer Creek that Friday and had a much more enjoyable round. Give it a try.
