Fall Special
Every year we head to Huntsville to enjoy a round of golf on the Highlands course. The colours are spectacular in mid October. We did get some rain on a few holes on an already soft course. Unfortunately we had to stay on cart paths, but the pace of play was still good at 4-1/2 hours. Besides a few extremely wet areas, the course was in very good shape. To be able to still play golf in mid October was very sweet. Greens and sand traps were very good. Staff is very excellent here.
TOUGH
Way too tough for my ability. Not the courses fault. Rented a cart because having knee replacement this month but did WAYmore walking than if I had rented a pull cart. Course conditions meant I had to stay on path and wish someone had made that clear since made for a long painful miserable day. I should have cut my losses after nine but it is a beautiful layout and decided to push on and let with a sour opinion. Lololol.
My fault but probably won't be back. Tried Deer Creek that Friday and had a much more enjoyable round. Give it a try.
Appreciate Kate the effort during Covid, good shape, greens were good and weather and Fall leaves were great !!

Some tee blocks need work and course was quite wet.
Not what it was
Deerhurst Highlands was the original big course in Muskoka. It is a great layout.
Sadly the new owners, Skyline have let it slip. Poor conditioning. Terrible greens, old gas golf carts spewing mg fumes.
I hope they get it together in the future. The layout is too good.
have not played this course in a while. Still one of the best. Parkland then some links holes had a great time
Prestigious track in Cottage County
Beautiful course and amazing conditions. Couldn't ask for more. The greens are unrelenting but roll perfectly. Highly recommended especially in the Fall with the gorgeous colours. Look forward tot he next round at Deerhurst.
Condition
For the cost the course could be in better shape, greens need work a lot of players are not repairing ball marks on greens.
Fall Golf
Highlands golf course has improved with the season. Nestled between trees changing color for the fall has made the course exquisite!!
As expected
Not great value for the money. Course conditions were 8/10. Some greens damaged and fairways were water logged. Greens were extremely challenging! Will go back again for sure. Too bad its so expensive for the value.
Such a beautiful course
haven't played this course for 25 years. It is just as beautiful and challenging as I remember. Still my favorite course ever
