About
Situated in the center of Kawarthas on the northern shore of Rice Lake, Bellmere Winds Golf Club offers scenic views of the water from every hole. This 18-hole golf course features plenty of elevation changes and a few doglegs added in for more challenges. The topography causes a few uneven lies, it also makes the golf course very difficult to walk, and there are also natural ditches around the narrow fairways that can be treacherous to any errant shots. All of the par 3s have a pond and there are strategically placed sand bunkers throughout. Bellmere Winds Golf Club is conveniently located only 25 minutes from Peterborough.

Beautiful day, beautiful views, challenging greens. I guess sand is expensive though. Course was in very good shape.
Needs help
No real sand in traps. Distance markers hidden by grass clippings. Directions to next hole not always apparent.Clubhouse not stocked. Would not return.
Great views
Course in great shape. Greens were fast and fairways green and cut. Pace of play okay but sometimes golfers spend too much time looking for balls in the frequent wasteland . Just hit another one or wave golfers waiting to play through, Frustrating if following a group that loses balls on most holes.
Fun Layout but maintenance leaves something to be desired
Bellmere is a fun course. I've played here plenty of times and it's a fun course. The fairways and greens are usually in good shape but the bunkers suck. During my most recent round they were especially bad. Completely saturated and the "sand" looked and played more like wet clay. It's not like it rained the day before or anything either, the drainage under these things is terrible. The cart paths were also in rough shape. They'd probably be fun on a mountain bike but were a pretty rough ride in a cart. The lack of a clubhouse is also not ideal, but that doesn't bother me too much.

Be sure to pack lots of golf balls. This course is notorious for taking your golf balls...even shots that you would swear landed in the fairway!
Great Day at Bellmere
First time at this course, it's on my summer play list. Great day with great friends, will definitely take on the challenge again.
Gorgeous course overlooking Rice lake
Scenic course with very well kept fairways and greens that had challenging slopes. All the staff were extremely friendly although renovations were being done to the bar/clubhouse at the time.
Gorgeous surroundings
This is my favourite course! You have a view of the lake from virtually every hole! It is quite hilly so I suggest using a cart but the layout gives you the view so it's well worth it! The course is in great shape but there are way too many 'long grass' hazzards so be prepared to loose a few balls. The view from the patio is fabulous...a great place to sit and have a drink but there's not too many options for food. I believe they are building a new clubhouse so with it the food options may improve. Overall I recommend this course to anyone. As I said, it's my all-time favourite!

Challenging course
This is a fun and challenging course to play. We had a deal which made it very good value, but I would go back again. The layout is very varied with multiple changes in level and doglegs. Greens were running true but seemed a little immature. I’m sure with time they will be very good. Generally the couse in in great condition.
The views of the lake from the course are beautiful

Fairways were short first and second cut were perfect lengths. The greens thankfully were a little soft and not lightning fast

Still one of the best long courses around. Beautiful location and scenery and always well maintained.
Renovations restrict amenities and don't order a beer unless you want to pay $7
Going Downhill
Nothing to eat!!!
Course conditions deteriorating from past years.
Marshalls not in evidence & needed to help pace of play.
Would not go back again for that price.
