Bellmere Winds Golf Club

Excellent track with spectacular elevation changes and views of Rice Lake. 10th tee is one of my favourites anywhere. Short on the scorecard but not easy around the greens, so scoring is not as easy as the length might suggest. Lots of fun.

Bellmere Winds has a number of holes that offer beautiful views of Rice Lake. In the last couple of years, there have been some nice improvements to the course, particularly in the area of reducing the amount of fescue which makes for not only a faster round, but a lot less frustration in hitting a reasonably decent shot, only to find it bouncing off into the fescue. The greens are a nice size, a tad on the slow side but were generally in pretty decent shape. There are a number of elevated tees which makes for some pretty dramatic and challenging tee shots. There are a few holes which could use some cosmetic changes; #3 for example....while the view of the lake is very nice, in between the green and the lake are a large number of trailer vacation homes which spoils the view. You can't take the trailers away so why not line the back of the green with some trees?
I would also suggest another set of tee blocks: being a senior, the whites are a bit daunting and long on some holes while the reds aren't long enough. A number of clubs have gone to hybrid tees using an equal split between the white and red tees. Bellmere Winds could certainly consider doing this as well.

No practice facilities is a major negative. They seem to be focussed on real estate business and the golf course suffers for it. The cours is s fair challenge but cold starts do not provide good scores usually.

A fair course with a good variety of easy/challenging holes. Par 4's on the back nine seemed quite boring but overall a great course.

This course has two fairly different nine holes. The front is all about position off the tee and errant drives will make you pay. The back nine is more open but the greens are often more difficult to reach compared to the front.

This is a great course and is in great shape the starter allowed my girlfriend and I to play alone although we were grouped with two others from golf now.

Great day of golf will defiantly go back soon.

Nice views of the lake found the course in good shape other then the greens still a lot with winter kill. Enjoyed the day the deal I got on Golf Now was good don't think I would pay the full price for this course

booked the tee time the day before,got a great deal $20 for round with cart.staff was very polite and helpfull, tee time was for 940 joined up with another golfer who got the same deal i did.first thing that strikes you is the great views of rice lake.Front 9 has alot of elevated tees offering more views of the rice lake,holes offer alot of challenge.The back 9 is in the lower part of the couse closer to the lake,the 10th hole is a great long par 5 straight down hill towards Rice lake. The greens are alittle rough,didnt winter well,only negative thing about the course,if greens were smooth and quick these greens would be very tough since they are quite undulating,Played the blue tees at about 6300,only my 3rd round of the year or i would have liked to play the golds at almost 6800.I will definatly play the course again hopefully they can improve the greens

Enjoyed the Bellmore Winds golf course a challenging course with great views all around. Very nice staff.

The greens were great last year. This is the first time playing this year. Some of the greens were bumpy with dead spots, dried out and generally poor.
We have had lots of rain so that can't be the issue.

The pro Shop Staff were very friendly I started as a single but paired up on the second hole The condition of the golf course was very good. The course was busy but play was steady with little waiting. Bellemere Winds is part of a resort and appears to be a popular as a Stay and Play. The views of Rice Lake are amazing. I will be returning with friends to play again'
I had an enjoyable round.

Most of the greens were dead...soil with some grass sprout every inch or so. The greens had parallel cuts about two inches apart ...for what reason I don't know...maybe they were trying to revive them. It was obvious that watering was scarce...many of the fairways were brown but at least the "brown" was grass. The only problem were the greens.

One of my favorite courses, however the winter was hard on about one third of the greens. That being said it was still worth the one hour drive. I am pretty sure they will get the greens fixed in the next couple of weeks.

The is mainly in good shape. They have issues with some of the greens. Slow play and some of the holes to close together.
One of my balls were taken by another group. Beautiful scenery.

On a VERY windy day, this course was brutally tough. Many balls that should have held the fairways got pushed into deep rough. Winter kill on most greens made them lightning fast - I recommend waiting a couple weeks until they grow in. As much as I prefer to walk when I play, do NOT play this course without a cart (unless you are a certified sherpa!). The course is a great test of your shot-making skills as you need to contend with many dog-legs off the tee and very contoured greens. Will be back, though, for sure!

Golf at Ballmere for this time of year was great as far as condition. Fairways were good - few leaves on the edges but not a real issue. Greens in good shape once you got feel of them for speed.

Great value for this play. Very scenic for late autumn. Highly recommend and it is always on our Play Again list.

Course was in great shape with many challenging holes. Beautiful Fall day, good deal online. The day dragged as we were behind 3 groups of seniors, so the flow wasn't there for any of us.
