Was quite good
Played early morning so pace was good, conditions were good, staff was good, and the holes are interesting...good day!
Nice Course
Beautiful course. Challenging with a number of elevated greens.
It was not an easy course to play with plenty of slope. Our first seven holes pace was really good, but after that it became so slow.
All staff are really friendly.
Slow play
Always slow at this course. Other than that nice course and decent value. But the pace of play is too slow.
Good value for family
Course was good overall, very dry and hard in many places but greens were very good.
terribly managed by Marshalls
There was a group of 8 teenagers in front of us who had no respect for the golf course. I asked the Marshalls to keep and eye on them before the round started and make sure they played as 2 foursomes so we didn't have to wait on 8 people to putt on the greens. They also bumped back our tee time by 15 mins to accommodate these kids. The kids proceeded to screw around the whole round, hanging off the back of their carts, chasing and racing each other, chipping balls at each other on the green and were using beer cans as tees while playing as one group of 8 the whole round. By the 12th hole were were over half an hour behind pace of play.
I complained to the pro shop after the round but there was no manager working at the time so they were unable to process a refund or a "raincheck" because I booked through golfnow. They took my number and promised to call me back the next day to sort it out, but that never happened.
Totally soaked after rain
Played the East Wing and the back nine was terribly waterly. They were not really playable and walkable as all the fairways were fully soaked with water. Cartpath only meant one has to walk to and back from the balls every time and no fun at all. This drainage problem had been an issue for years and no improvement. Avoid this course after rain and so is the West Wing.
