Review on East Course-Cardinal Golf Club on Jun 6, 2025
We have a tee time of 12:06pm and planned to complete game by 4:15pm! However that took us 5 hours 15 minutes to finish the game due to extreme slow play. At hole 10, the new foursome show up nowhere in front of us. Extreme slow play told Marshell (club staff) but no improvements.
Can’t complete game cos rain storm!!!
Marshalls/Staff were quite hard about waivers for carts and signing in and giving my buddies who showed up just a few minutes later than me (and well ahead of our tee time) crap for not all checking in together. Then the pace of play was horrendous, no marshals enforcing pace of play, over 30 minutes slower with only 3somes and 2somes ahead. Not to mention a tee-time 30 minutes before ours was told to tee of at our tee time and cramping the course further
Worst GTA golf experience
We played on a Friday afternoon and it took 5.5 hours with multiple foursomes backed up on the tees all afternoon. The marshal was no help and rude the entire day. Stay away.
Review
Very backed up
Got soaked by sprinklers
Sprinklers came on during play due to a malfunction causing us to be unable to tee off from the T boxes
Waited with two other groups on hole 12 well we watched another group tee off because of the back up
Even if course closing date coming soon it's not right remove all tee box mark
Leafs everywhere fairways and potting greens
East Wing is a nice course, but we were very disappointed with the amount of leafs on the fairways and the potting greens. We lost so many balls on the fairways underneath the leafs and on so many greens especially back nine was almost impossible to pot.
I like the course but this Saturday Oct 26, 2024 afternoon was bad, we should have asked for a raincheck at least the back 9 holes…. I’m not sure if it was one day issue or not taken care for few days but when we drove by the other side Cardinals West Wing 10th hole looked pretty good ….
Slow pace
I arrived at the course 30 min prior to my tee time which was 12:47. Check in staff told me there was a Frost delay and the wait could be an hour or longer. I can choose to cancel by calling golfnow or wait. I drove little less than am hour to the golf course so I hesitated. Then he told me to talk to the starter. Starter was great. He got me out at,my tee time. Thank goodness I decided to speak with the starter. However the pace was extremely slow. Over 40 mins delay. I waited for every hole. Green wasn't great. Ibwould think thrice to book even if there are no option.
