RiverEdge Golf Club
About
RiverEdge Golf Club sprawls across a stunning natural landscape of rolling hills covered with mature trees and abundant in wildlife. Although it is just off the highway in Kitchener, it provides a scenic respite from the city. In the summer the golf course is speckled with vibrant colors due to the several kinds of flowers that bloom across the terrain. The natural wetlands were incorporated into the layout, coming into play often. This nine-hole course boasts all of the challenges of a full-length course, but only requires half the time. Golfers can finish a round in less than three hours. RiverEdge Golf Club is an excellent place for honing your short game skills but also perfect for a quick, casual game.

Great surroundings greens need every bit of your concentration. Makes for a good round of golf.
If you break 40 you have done well.
Great Course for a Quick Round
Have played here several times over the years growing up, this was my first time back in a while. The putting/chipping green was freshly aerated - made for difficult warm up conditions. Other than that the course was in decent shape. Teeboxes were okay - given that it's late season I think they were better than average. Fairways were great, bunkers were maintained, some greens had some areas where they were rebuilding (but again it's late in the season so that's understandable).
Staff was friendly, the whole process was outside to pay which is nice. The pace was great - we had no one in front of us, and no one behind us. The only downside is that it can play a little bit tight from hole to hole - we were almost hit a couple times, but it is what it is. Made for a good round of 36 (+1)!
Would recommend this course, and I will continue to play here!
Can’t Play 18 (??)
9 hole course, our group was looking forward to playing 18 holes, so we booked two tee times two hours apart on GolfNow. However, upon arrival and telling the course staff we had a 2nd tee time, he bluntly informed us “Nobody plays 18 here. You won’t be playing 18, I can tell you that right now.” We were curious about why as that rule wasn’t listed anywhere, so we had a polite conversation and he said that this decision to not let anyone golf 18 in 2020 was due to timing of the first 9 (which makes some sense, even though we completed the 9 holes in under 2 hours) and Covid regulations, which makes no sense. Wouldn’t you want less total people at the course during this time? Don’t you want our money for the 2nd booking? We were denied our 2nd booking, and I had to eat the reservation fee.
Unrelated to the above issue, the course had frost on it in the morning, which caused an hour and 15 minute delay until the frost cleared. The course did not contact anyone about the delay, which could be off-putting/inconvenient.
Would play again, but staff were slightly rude about our 2nd booking for no particular reason. Course should revisit this rule or at least post this on their site and GolfNow.
Frost delay still affecting times, good round
Starting to really enjoy this course. Even though there was frost delays of over an hour, course had caught up. Only negative effect, too many golfers crammed together so made for a slow first 6 holes
Course is in great shape, comparable to Rebel Creek. I would have give 5 star for the course if it was 18 holea. Fairways in great shape. Greens were hard n fast so hard to stick to any greens. Alot of 2nd orc3rd shots hit green and rolled off.
Staff is extremely friendly, from the greeter in the parking lot to the lady in the pro shop/ beer area/ clubhouse. Only negative is no beer cart throughout the course.
Will be back to play again
