2 full courses at Granite Ridge.
Cobalt course is a little more challenging than the Ruby course, reasonably priced, both courses are in good shape, I always enjoy myself at Granite Ridge.
Poor conditions, course has potential.
The course needs cutting. The turf staff are not respectful of nearby players. Better management is desperately needed.
Good course; always good service
I have always enjoyed playing at Granite Ridge. The staff is great; the course is challenging enough to be fun. The rough is thick so keep it in the fairway!
Still a gem in Milton area!
Looking for a championship course that won't break the bank and provide you with various looks and challenges? Play Cobalt. It still remains a good little gem in the Milton area. Pack patience however. Some patrons do take their time. :(
A really nice layout; water hazards on many fairways; fairways a bit wet; greens large and undulating but in exceptionally good condition.
Very enjoyable playing this course. Because of spring rains, was cart path only. All in all, great course conditions for early summer. We got a really good golfnow "hot deal" rate which made the value great; with regular green fees, the value would be no more than average.
Pro Shop has issues
Pro Shop would not allow you to check in until 15 min before your start time. Can't load up the cart and get ready. Aren't you supposed to be there at least 30 min before your tee off time?
Well maintained still early in the season.
Would have been better if the course was dry but it's spring and it has been wet. Prices are to high for this time of the year.
fun times
They were squeezing in a couple extra groups though...lets not over book GR...
Course not as good as last year
I will not return.
Very disappointed by overcrowding and poor course conditions.
I played the Ruby course the past 4 years, this was the worst ever, with uneven cuts on greens and even the tee boxes.
Why did carts have to stay on the cart paths?
I have never been at a course where carts always had to stay on the cart paths. I understand that carts can damage the fairways when it is wet, but this "cart paths only" policy is full-time at Granite Ridge. This made the round so much longer, as the couple we played with would park their cart (on the path), walk to the middle of the fairway to their ball, then go back to the cart for their club! If I had known about this policy, I would have walked! It would have been quicker! Also, there were no marshalls in evidence to ensure that groups kept up the pace -- made for a long round (over 5 hours). The course is beautiful and well maintained, but when 18 holes takes this long, the focus tends to be on finishing before dark.
The course is short but many challenges
The course was not busy because of fall and threat of rain. It is beautiful set under the escarpment with the changing of the leaves.
great course.
love this course had my first hole in one on this course in june 2012.
The Escarpment provides a great scenery for an enjoyable round.
Choosing the right time of day to play provides for good pace of play.
Granite Ridge-Colbalt played on Friday
Pace is slow due to other golfers. Staffs not quite friendly and flexibility to let you play earlier even when not busy.
Some Tees are very closed together, watch out for sudden flying balls from somewhere.
Generally, good value for the money (i.e. hot deal).
Very friendly staff. Geat value for the money.
Granite Ridge's proximity to a major highway makes it a convenient course to play. I've played both the Cobalt and Ruby courses and each has its own challenging holes. The 14th on Ruby is a heck of a Par 4 against the prevailing wind.
Great course open, everything in front of you, very good.
Course well-maintained, very open everything in front of you.
Good value for the money
Good value for the money. Very scenic course backing onto an escarpment. Lots of water holes if that's your preference.
Friendly course.
Encountered some slow play due to some walkers ahead of us. Overall the course was very enjoyable to play and in good shape.
Great condition
Course wasn't too busy so we were able to play at a fairly good pace. It was in very good condition and will definately go there again.
Really? Great course? Relative to what? Could not disagree more.
