The course is very easy.
Shot 75, handicap 11, greens never broke as much as anticipated. Escarpment has effect on some putts.
Lack of marshalling leads to slow play, Tee boxes need levelling
I blame the slow play on two things
1. a greedy course looking to get as much cash as possible
2. no marshalling at all to at least speed it up somewhat
The greedy comment is supported by the cost of beverages and food on this course, which is gouging pure and simple
They also have no respect for loyal regular customers, sometimes two tournaments are on the go on both courses on a Sunday, that alone shows you they do not care about regular weekend players
The tee boxes on this course are pathetic, they should be soaked, then rolled level and lastly cut to fairway length
Tee boxes appear to receive little of no attention
Great Value
Granite Ridge offer 2 courses to choose from. We played the Cobolt and enjoyed it. Playing just over 6200 from the whites, although length is not the challenge, the tightness of some fairways will have you cursing. Great value for price and nice club house.
Poolry managed
This is <6K yrd course and it took us over 6hrs to play. They have over booked due to their greediness. I did not see 1 Marshal to move play along. People who have never played golf where playing from the tips with no marshal telling them the etiquette to move play along. In addition, there where 2 somes scattered everywhere. They should have been paired up with someone else if they are booking that many people. We also learned that they were also taking walk-on regardless if they where double, triple booked. Hard to get into the groove if your waiting 10-20 min per tee box or shot.
Will not play here again due to poor management and no marshals.
Course pace brutal
Our foursome was ready to tee off but both groups in front we're late. This interim caused our round to go over 5 1/2 hours. Not ONE Marshall came out to get the pace moving. Extremely frustrating and seemed way over booked. I'd play this course during the week but never again on a weekend.
Great Course
great golfing, pace was great finished the course in no time, great value for the money 2 p $112 cart included.
Will definitely go again and definitely worth the drive from Toronto
Played in 3 hours as the course was not busy. Very forgiving layout for sprayed shots.
First played the original layout when this course opened as 18 holes about 15 years ago. We won't wait another 15 years to return!
fun day of golfing
Course is in great shape. Pace of play was spot on. Worth the money.
Great short course for a quick round.
Rain slowed the greens down quite a bit, but overall the course was great. Quick round with a good assortment of holes. Definitely not a course for people looking to smash the ball 300 yards every hole.
slow pace of play
we teed off in the afternoon and no problems with the pace of play until we came upon a threesome walking and the three players had no respect for the rest of the players. They were so slow that the back nine was done in 3 hours! We let a twosome and a single through and we were constantly waiting at the tee box to hit after the both groups to a twosome. then there was a twosome walking and sometimes a 3 some waiting to hit after us.
Decent course
round moved quickly which is not always the case on a public course. No washrooms on course was a bit of an issue.
Course overall is decent, reasonably challenging. A bit expensive for what it is though.
Had fun, nice greens
Enjoyable course, nice greens. Too many geese in the fairways. Golf carts are pretty quick. Hotdogs are a bit pricey.
2 full courses at Granite Ridge.
Cobalt course is a little more challenging than the Ruby course, reasonably priced, both courses are in good shape, I always enjoy myself at Granite Ridge.
Poor conditions, course has potential.
The course needs cutting. The turf staff are not respectful of nearby players. Better management is desperately needed.
Good course; always good service
I have always enjoyed playing at Granite Ridge. The staff is great; the course is challenging enough to be fun. The rough is thick so keep it in the fairway!
Still a gem in Milton area!
Looking for a championship course that won't break the bank and provide you with various looks and challenges? Play Cobalt. It still remains a good little gem in the Milton area. Pack patience however. Some patrons do take their time. :(
A really nice layout; water hazards on many fairways; fairways a bit wet; greens large and undulating but in exceptionally good condition.
Very enjoyable playing this course. Because of spring rains, was cart path only. All in all, great course conditions for early summer. We got a really good golfnow "hot deal" rate which made the value great; with regular green fees, the value would be no more than average.
Pro Shop has issues
Pro Shop would not allow you to check in until 15 min before your start time. Can't load up the cart and get ready. Aren't you supposed to be there at least 30 min before your tee off time?
Well maintained still early in the season.
Would have been better if the course was dry but it's spring and it has been wet. Prices are to high for this time of the year.
