Soggy course after rain
Unfortunately, I went the day after it rained. The course was very soggy and does not drain well. The play was very slow for a course that promotes fast play, two parties I saw picked up their balls and left the course. All in all decent value, $45 with a cart ... you cant go too far wrong
greens were ok slow play no marshalls
good start late in season this course seems to have alot of slow players. No marshalls on course, beer girl shows up on the 15th hole. oNLY GOOD FEATURE WAS THE GREENS WERE IN GOOD SHAPE
Beautiful scenery towards the Niagara escarpment
Played the Ruby and planning to play the Cobalt next. A beautiful golf course with extremely friendly staff. Starter went over the course in detail. Some challenging holes but in general very forgiving fairways. Greens were fast. Approaches were well maintained.
a challenging course in beautiful condition
Golf course is in great condition and the greens are especially good. The greens were consistently fast from the first hole to the last. Definitely a course i would recommend.
Great course for the money.
Great course for the money. We usually play early morning and get a great price through GolfNow.
Great Value, Nice course!
Great round of golf even though it had rained hard the night before and overcast, foggy and misty rain during our round. Greens were slow but with all the rain we were lucky to get the round in and course drainage is good. We played Ruby course and would recommend it!
This course is very challenging because of the well placed ponds and sand traps.
The course was very challenging for me and I enjoyed it very much. I left with the feeling of wanting to play another round all over again. The price was very reasonable and the location was great.
Great condition, good price, scenic, great food.
Ruby Course:
Fairways though not super long, the large greens more than make up for it with tricky breaks. Great course for a woman as you have a chance to get on in regulation, which most courses lack, due to the fact courses are built for men & ladies tees are an afterthought. Our playing male partners enjoyed their game difficulty from the white tees. Restaurant food excellent.
course was in great shape, but the greens were a little long, but typical for early fall golf.
There was no starter, and a line up at the first tee. It. Made getting people started confusing.
Course has some good holes.
I was very disappointed that no mention was given that the course had sanded the greens as I would not have booked if I had known this. I was trying the course for the first time and was unable to rate it for future play as a result of the poor greens. I cannot recommend this course until I play it with greens in better condition.
Good course.. fun to play.. could be a faster round.. lot of waiting
Will recommend.. good course in good shape.. Decent value
great service and the marshall is brilliant.
i was playing on my own and had a 4 some in front of me. so the marshall insisted i started on the 2nd hole. i was so glad.
i ended up playing through another 2 some after the 4th hole and the rest was clear sailing.
the fairways were in good shape. the rough was challenging and the greens were a little out of shape because people didn't fix the ball marks but they were not in my line so it didn't really affect me.
only a couple of sand traps in the later holes had puddles of water in them. glad i didn't end up in there. ended up shooting 80 and had a great day.
So so.but wet....
Had a good day! The fairway was a little wet and soggy.
will try again later in the season.
Short but a good track
Course was well maintained.
Staff was friendly.
Overall a nice fun place.
Great Course, Slow Pace
Well I booked this course as it had a great price, and had a great time in previous years. Unfortunately, this trip was not as enjoyable. The course appeared to have oversold tee times as the pace of play was just brutal. We were waiting 15 minutes or more between holes, and were not even able to finish our round.
The worst part of all this was the course marshall. He was often seen on the course, but did nothing to ensure the pace of play picked up as it got progressively worse.
Sunny Friday at G.R.G.C
Great course for the money! It doesn't get much more scenic for $60/golfer in the GTA. My only negative is the tight layout from one hole to the next. If you're not straight off the tee or hitting greens, you could be hitting your fellow golfers on another hole. We heard a lot of "four!" While we played. Overall, great value though.
This course was very well maintained
Granite Ridge is an excellent course, l really enjoyed playing there.
.
Play Ruby course slightly longer course
Great course, not far from Toronto
Played Monday, not very busy, no waiting at all
Staff very friendly especially cart girl
Play Ruby course
Course is great for corporate events
Course is good. Wide open, and well maintained. Pace was slow as they were trying to appease golfers coming in and squeeze them between reserved tee times
Always enjoy a round here (when there's no tournaments) .
Only problem on course was other player's leaving ball marks on the greens . We fixed 3-4 each time ourselves ! It's a shame cause the greens would be beautiful if players took the time !
