Tucked away in the scenic Niagara Escarpment, Lowville Golf Club offers scenic views of the greater Toronto area. The layout blends seamlessly with the natural landscape, creating a picturesque golf setting that the Toronto Star's "Bogey Man" has touted as the most scenic in the area. The golf course has also received top honors from the same publication as the most improved club. This challenging, 18-hole course features several downhill tee shots that can really carry, making it a fun course for long hitters. Lowville Golf Club's 12th hole is notably entertaining. It is a long par-5 that requires a long carry off the tee to a tricky green.

Some Beautiful Views from Some Very Well Designed Holes!
My only complaint with the course & absolute only reason I gave the Staff Friendliness a Poor rating was because the course marshal kept driving by and/or stopping to watch our play which was making my girlfriend uncomfortable. She even asked his advice on a shot at one point because he was so close to her to which he gave her attitude & a sarcastic comment. Then, he had the audacity to suggest that our group was holding up play when we were in fact waiting on absolutely every hole to tee off as well as waiting in the fairways the entire time. I wish these old school golfers who tend to become marshals would understand that not everyone is a confident player who has been playing all their lives. And believe me, I find slow play more frustrating than just about anyone out there so we do our best to ensure we don't hold up play. I mean she even picked up her ball on a hole or 2 rather than finish out of frustration & respect for the others in the group and/or behind us, but I mean how fair is that when we all pay the same amount to play. He was your classic cranky, stuck-up, old school golfer. :(
Overpriced
I’m sure during peak season the course is in better conditions and may be worth the green fee, but I was disappointed in the course considering how much they are charging for early Spring golf.
A number of holes had all the tees placed at the front tee boxes which I understand is a necessity when doing spring preparations, but they shouldn’t charge what they are charging.
Way too much money for the overall experience. I paid $80 walking... which is way too much for spring golf.
Be careful booking twilight
So if you book a twilight time for $40 be very aware you will only be allowed to play 9 holes regardless of if you're walking or not. Seems absured when every other course ever lets you play till dark. Great course otherwise despite being early in the season and greens a little shaggy.
The course was in good shape. Pace was a bit slow at times. However, the scenery made up for it. Some holes were a bit odd, but then others were great. Greens were moderate when we played, but I think they'd be much faster earlier in the week. We really enjoyed the course and we will definitely be back.
Lest we forget
Always love this place, one of my favorites and I play everywhere.
