Lowville Golf Club

About
Tucked away in the scenic Niagara Escarpment, Lowville Golf Club offers scenic views of the greater Toronto area. The layout blends seamlessly with the natural landscape, creating a picturesque golf setting that the Toronto Star's "Bogey Man" has touted as the most scenic in the area. The golf course has also received top honors from the same publication as the most improved club. This challenging, 18-hole course features several downhill tee shots that can really carry, making it a fun course for long hitters. Lowville Golf Club's 12th hole is notably entertaining. It is a long par-5 that requires a long carry off the tee to a tricky green.

Slow Play
Tee Time was delayed plus had to wait to hit on almost every tee shot and approach. Marshall was absent on the back nine and round took nearly 5 hours.
Won’t be going back anytime soon.
Very poor condition but premium cost
I’ve played this course 2 years ago and it was fantastic, the price was right and the course conditions were great. I wish I can say the same about it now… the price has doubled since then which would be understandable if they actually took care of the course. The fairways were all brown and most of it was dirt… conditions were so hard that drives rolled out 50 years… I wouldn’t have wasted my time if the round was free.
This course was one of my favourites because of the incredible views especially off the 9th tee, but conditions coupled with unfriendly staff have dropped the course to a 2/5 star.
This course needs a lot of work.
Great round on a wonderful crouse
The 1st thing you will notice is the views as you make your way to the 1st tee box. The views on the entire crouse is great. The course is not short however it's not that long either, the bunkers are well placed to increase the level of difficulties to get to the greens, the greens are fast and very difficult with lots of hills and valleys. Great crouse to play enjoy the round
Worth the money
This course always kicks my butt, can be difficult to play at times but all in all, a beautiful course with great views of the escarpment.
Good Time
Coarse was good , it was an enjoyable day, and the pace of play was reasonable.
Brutally dry and overcrowded
I used to love playing this course but it has really fallen off. Fairways and rough were completely brown, dry as a bone and hard as rock. They seem to only be watering the tee decks and greens. Terrible terrible fairway and rough conditions.
Played on a Sunday and the course was jammed. The group ahead of us had 6 people in their group.
$100 for conditions like this... unreal.
Great hilly course
The course is great to play on but you better ride on a hot day.. I made the mistake of walking it on a 24 Celsius sunny day . The fairway is hard to distinguish from rough but that's links style for you. They cut down the fescue to make it easier.
The biggest complaint was lack of on course beverage cart. Hope it was just a
Afternoon fun
Nice views but so hilly for a GC. Lucky if you find a flat lie.
Highly Recommended
Course was in excellent shape, greens are very tricky and it has some great views. Would definitely play again.
Views
This is a great course, it has its challenging moments but has great views of the escarpment and surrounding areas..
