Turtle Creek Golf
About
Laid across rolling countryside atop the Niagara Escarpment, Turtle Creek Golf uses the natural undulations of the landscape to its full advantage. The hilly terrain combined with the rocky outcroppings scattered throughout add to the scenic nature of the golf course. The elevation of the terrain shifts between subtle and dramatic. For the most part, the layout is wide open but there are some trees to be wary of as well as some rough areas. Water plays a prominent role on the course, coming into play on 12 of the 18 holes. Turtle Creek's idyllic charm flows from the course to the clubhouse, which incorporates a stone building from 1835.

Decent Course
The views were very good. The layout was a little confusing and some weird blind shots. Not a course for your driver but more for your irons. It’s a nice course but be prepared for a lot of shots off the tee where you can’t see the green
Great value beautiful setting
Greens were very well kept and setting was picturesque. Staff were mindful of COVID distancing and cleaning needs. Had a great round! Suggest more signage to direct movement from 1 hole to the next: lost my way 2 times and had to assist another lost party to find their way. Amenities are basic--extremely limited food & beverage, no cart person on the course with refreshments and WC is very simple...temporary due to COVID?
Really tight but lots of fun
Great day out today. This course isn't long but you need to play smart if you want to have a good score. Course was in great condition but greens were a bit bumpy. Definitely coming back
Brutal slow play..No marshals to keep things moving..
Aptly Named due to slow pace of play
Great, polite staff. Interesting course........but WAY too slow. 3 hours to play 9 holes is painful to say the least!! I believe actual Turtles move faster
Get what you pay for.
It's a shorter course - and was in decent shape considering how hot it had been.
the design is a little silly. there are some forced carries that are simply too long for the higher handicapper.
My only irritation is that we played twilight golf. teed off at 530. at 15th tee (8pm) we were asked by the staff to make sure we were back at the clubhouse by 830. I get it, staff don't want to be kicking around until late. but there were groups behind us, it just seems a little cheeky on one of the longest days of the year.
Great round on Canada Day
The course is a bit short, with shorter par 4s and par 3s. Challenging nevertheless, however some holes are more straightforward. Pace of play was good (we tee’d off at 7am) and nothing slowed us down. Marking of holes was a bit confusing, we ended up skipping 11 and 12 by mistake and had to play them after finishing 18 - and to that the staff was very friendly and allowed us to fit into some groups to finish off these two holes. We finished our round in 4 hours while walking. Overall good course to play.
Pace was slow
The pace was very slow and the groups in front of us wouldn’t let us play through. Maybe too many new golfers ?
