Turtle Creek Golf
About
Laid across rolling countryside atop the Niagara Escarpment, Turtle Creek Golf uses the natural undulations of the landscape to its full advantage. The hilly terrain combined with the rocky outcroppings scattered throughout add to the scenic nature of the golf course. The elevation of the terrain shifts between subtle and dramatic. For the most part, the layout is wide open but there are some trees to be wary of as well as some rough areas. Water plays a prominent role on the course, coming into play on 12 of the 18 holes. Turtle Creek's idyllic charm flows from the course to the clubhouse, which incorporates a stone building from 1835.

Good value for a fair price
It is a relatively good course.
(The above is all I have to say. Be thankful I took the time to do this survey. Say "Thank you" and accept what I have to say).
trying to squeeze 18 holes onto too small of a property.
tight as in congested; dried out; all around strange layout.
1st time
Played it after driving by many times fun course small greens good value for what we paid
Good value
The course is very compact. Eighteen holes squeezed into a small parcel of land. Despite being short, the layout provides quite a challenge with several forced carries off the tee and blind tee and approach shots. It is well conditioned although the rough is unnecessarily long and penal. Rounds played at this course are not eligible for handicap purposes, they are not GAO members.
Superb
Course was a joy to play.......very tough back nine .....staff very friendly .....
horrible. not worth the money
Pace of play was really slow. We were over five hours to play a course that should have been less than 4.5. Ranger didn't care about the pace nor that the group in front was more interested in having a photo shoot than playing golf. Two holes open in front. Not worth the money. Save your money and play else where.
Strangest golf course layout I have ever seen
Poor yardage markings. Some fairways designed in a manner that a well struck ball right in the middle of the fairway rolls off in to the woods. Balls flying everywhere. Greens are tiny and severely undulating with no strategy in mind. This course way laid out with the land they had with seemingly no leveling. Unfortunately, I wouldn't play this course again even if it was free. Sorry, but this is a weird and unusual golf course that is dangerous to play.
Great time
Great course have to think for every shot. Would recommend to friend no problem
The course has a good mix of fair holes, and some really tough ones with long carries over marshes. It's a good test of one's skills in all areas.
I enjoyed my round. The pace of play was excellent!
Greens or Asphalt?
Greens were rock hard. Had the ball bounce off the green more than a few times. Not once did I have to come up to the green and had to fix my ball mark - because there weren't any. If the idea is links golf then why create greens with false fronts that forces you to pitch it up high?
POOR & Dangerous layout!! Not worth the green fee

Was not the slightest impressed. This course is challenging...no doubt, but the layout is terrible. It looks like someone just woke up and carved out a golf course. tee boxes directly behind greens, the worst one being #12 behind #11, 10yds behind the green....REALLY?? almost all greens were bad. Ball would roll 3 different ways in 5ft. There's no true roll on them. Tee boxes small and not maintained properly. DEFINITELY not worth the 65 w/cart i paid, more like 50...tops!!. oh ya staff...miserable. Played the game for 20+ years and MANY courses and not one to write reviews, but had to speak up on this one, to let people know what there wasting there money on.
Great course, great value, keep up the good work.
Great challenge for every golfer!
Any level of player can enjoy Turtle Creek.
Hidden Gem
This is by far one of the best courses to play outside the GTA. It's worth the drive and the staff are very helpful...
Great course, but difficult.
This is a really beautiful course, with water in play on about 8 holes or so. It's definitely not a beginner course though, we found it very, very challenging.
Somewhere around the 12th or so, there's a hole that requires at least a 150 yard tee shot to clear the water (if you're using the second longest tee), and we all lost a couple balls there.
Anyway, it was great, everyone was friendly, but I"m not sure I'll play again until I get better, as it's just very challenging.
Don't Bother
Forget your golf hat at this course; instead wear a hard hat. The tee boxes are so close to the greens that all you hear over the entire course is "FORE". Most holes are very short and totally uninteresting. Poor design, poor greens, and poor shape. Don't waste your time or money.
Tight course with challenging greens
Shorter course with few opportunities to hit driver. Tight fairways at times. Very hilly, especially around the greens, makes it tough to chip and putt.
1/3 of course par 3's, small saddle style greens, lots of undulation
Although the location would suggest quite, way to many urban noises to enjoy the surroundings, several hole close to road and dwellings .Even though I would not recommend to a friend the course does have its merits, few players better pace.
GREAT GOLFING NOTHING TO EAT
I GOLFED WITH MY BOYS THIS PASSED WEEKEND. THE FOOD CART HAD NOTHING BUT CHIPS AND SNACKS SO WE HAD TO DRIVE TO THE HOUSE TO GRAB A BITE. UNFORTUNATELY YOU ONLY HAD A CHOICE OF HAMBURGER, HOT DOG AND SAUSAGE NO LIGHT SANDWICHES.
