Henry Homberg Municipal Golf Course
       About
The Homberg is old-school golf at its finest. This course dates back to the 1930s and is named after the longtime Beaumont Municipal caddie who eventually became the head pro. Built by the Corps of Engineers, it has been Beaumont's most popular golf institution over the decades.
The design features two totally different nines. The front is more open than the shorter, skinnier back, and boasts two notable par 4s. No. 4 plays into the wind at 445 yards, while No. 9 is known for its tight driving lane into a dogleg-right fairway.
Getting there : From I-10 east, take the Walden Rd. exit and go south. At the stoplight, Walden turns into Tyrrell Rd. and the course is on the left side.

First Time at Henry Homberg
Nice course. Just getting spring green growth going. Will be back for sure. We drove over from Dayton.
Good value
For under 20 dollars I can’t complaint I was playing solo and had a good pace but caught up to 5 foursomes in front of me and had to wait 4-5 minutes between shots
Mud greens
The course is a good layout, challenging holes however you reach the green, and have to navigate mud ,weeds, and bumpy turf. The patrons do not fix divots either
Playable have fun.
Very good for the money
Is a good course, greens are acceptable and maybe the best in Beaumont public courses
Wet Course
Extremely wet but no fault of the course management. Told before we started it was wet and cart path only
Good Day
A couple of greens need attention. Others are in good shape. Group ahead of us were slow. Otherwise course is in good shape.
What’s the Deal?
I booked “Hot Deal”round through GolfNow for a single player, when I check in club pro informed me they’re not supposed to booked single players and next time I’d be charged and extra $5 for the cart,it’s disappointing get discriminated against for being a single player.
Course is in Terrible condition
Greens are terrible, fairways aweful, old man who checks people in treats you like garbage if you booked on GolfNow or TeeOff, pace of play always feels rushed because they overbook. All around it’s a golf course that’s playable if you just can’t afford anything else.
Nice greens
Greens were in excellent shape. Recent rains caused a mess in the fairways but greens made up for it.
I’ve tried so many times to like this course but...
It’s just isn’t a good course. It has a lot of potential. It really does. However, the course is almost always overgrown and the drainage on the course is horrible so it holds water for weeks after rain. That may be more of a city issue, but still. Also, they absolutely NEVER honor a Golf Now booking regardless of it is a hot deal or regular price. The last three times I booked on the app and paid, they refused to honor it and argued with me that I either paid them and not a “third party” or I didn’t play. So then I have to pay again and then fight for a refund from Golf Now. The people who work there aren’t really the friendliest and as much as I would LOVE to support a local muni course, this place is just not worth my time. Every other course in the area honors Golf Now Payments and are waaaay more friendly. I’ll just have to stop playing here. Spend your money somewhere else and play a nicer course while you’re at it.
Nice day to play
Weather was great, pace was slow due to a money game going on in group in front of us. The course is in good shape, with most of the greens the best I"ve seen here. Enjoyed the round
