Henry Homberg Municipal Golf Course
       About
The Homberg is old-school golf at its finest. This course dates back to the 1930s and is named after the longtime Beaumont Municipal caddie who eventually became the head pro. Built by the Corps of Engineers, it has been Beaumont's most popular golf institution over the decades.
The design features two totally different nines. The front is more open than the shorter, skinnier back, and boasts two notable par 4s. No. 4 plays into the wind at 445 yards, while No. 9 is known for its tight driving lane into a dogleg-right fairway.
Getting there : From I-10 east, take the Walden Rd. exit and go south. At the stoplight, Walden turns into Tyrrell Rd. and the course is on the left side.

high grass
Don't understand why the grass is so high. you loss your ball in the middle of the fairway. I have played this course twice in the past two wks. It was this way both times I won't be back anytime soon.
hombreg
Man checking you in is not friendly at all. If booked through golfnow you can feel his disapproval.
After paying told it’s cart path only. I should have called earlier but didn’t, so that’s on me But the bald guy working the desk has a personality of a gnat. You’re in a people service golf, ty to act like a human. On a dry day this is a fun course to play but be aware of the corpus working the cash register.
The fairways were cut nice and greens held
Homberg is a nice everyday coarse but we played 9 holes and the rain came in very hard. The pro shop wouldn’t give us a rain check and can’t seem to get through by phone or app to Golfnow so it’s a lesson learned. Golfnow only works to setup a round not credit a round or rain check.
Great App and Good golf
Golf now is a great app. The Homberg was nice and fun. Would definitely do it again
Basic Muni Course
Overall ok but avoid course in wet conditions as it has poor drainage. Lost ball in dirty water filled sandtrap on 1st hole!
Waste of a Saturday
Course should not have been open, could not get a refund for my booking.
Greens were not mowed and like 1890... Wet, cart path only. Why even get a cart? I hate this place, don't know why I come back.
Save you money and go to Houston or Lake Charles.
Very good place to play
I started playing here again after being away for 16 years. The course is still in very good shape and has some challenging holes. The updates to the clubhouse are great. One of my favorite places to play. It’s a great course for the money.
Course is in really good shape
Played in 2:45 really good pace and course was in great shape
Disappointing
Got stuck behind a fivesome with three holes open in front of them. No marshall the entire round. Greens were about a 1 on a 10-1 scale. Grass is scarce in the fairway. Love the layout but the course needs lots of attention.
Good Value
Coarse is nice, It is a public coarse run by the city, and was pretty busy for a, Thursday mid afternoon. There are a lot of walkers so the pace of play is slow, however there were three of us and we weren't the fastest either that day. The Greens were not in the best shape. but the coarse overall was nice.
