Beechwood Golf & Social House
About
Beechwood Golf & Social House sprawls across gently rolling hills dotted with natural water features and trees, providing a terrain that is ideal for golf. The championship layout features fast, undulating greens and carefully contoured fairways. Ponds come into play throughout along with meandering creeks and streams. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers in play. Beechwood Golf & Social House's finishing hole is notable for both the scenery and challenges it offers. To begin the hole you need a precise drive between out-of-bounds on the left and a creek to the right that cuts into a landing area, and then you must make a skillful second shot to a triple-tiered green that slopes towards the creek's edge.

great for seniors
I loved the course just need a little more sand in there sand traps everything else was ideal.
Disappointed
Course was in pretty rough. Early in the season but considering there charging full price I was pretty dissatisfied. Constant smells from the dump as well.
Beechwood in the Wind
Played twice last week, course in good shape except the bunkers. WInd the first day reached 45 km/hr. Wind the second round in excess of 75 km/hr.
great shape
for early in the season the course was in wonderful shape. A bit wet in a few places, but we had some heavy rain a couple of days prior. The course has plenty of challenges and is long enough for all with 4 sets of tees. Will definitely be back
First Time Out
Courses are just opening and so are still wet. I will come back in a couple of months and play again.
We played behind 2 groups of men and had to wait a bit on each hole but the weather was finally so good we did not care. They apologized and we said not to worry.....we were playing well because not rushed.
Not ready for the season
This course is not ready to be open for the season. A few weeks prior we had a bad storm which is still affecting the conditions of the course.
I was standing in puddles nearly every shot even in the fairway.
The round was booked for cart which wasn't an option when I got to the course. A heads up would have been good in order for me to bring my own cart. Due to the weather several cart paths were it even walkable.
Course should have taken the time to get drained properly before opening it's doors.
Early spring
Without the course would be very wet but it turned out to be in pretty good shape
enjoyable
Last perfect golf day of the summer ?? so as expected ,busy. Still it moved along .OK considering. We often play in 4 hr. here , today was 5 hr. but it was packed..Mother nature's fault- Beautiful fall day !
Leaves can be an issue here in the fall (AFTER ALL, THIS COURSE IS NAMED AFTER A TREE !!) ..but not bad , leaves only on a couple holes if you stay in the fairway .
Very interesting course, in good shape even after all the rain the day before, greens are very good
A challenge near Niagara Falls.
A tight target course with med-small greens that will test your iron play. Greens all have character and multiple slopes. Water and naturalized areas come into play on many holes.
great day
this course is a beautiful mature course. it has some long challenging par 5s some long and short par 3s but all challenging . i would recommend this course to locals and visiters..
Great shape
Found this course challenging and the greens in great shape fast and true
Golfnow rate makes this good deal
We enjoyed the course. Bernie and staff of pro shop great. People in the bar were having a great time til some restaurant person shut off the music ???
Sort of killed the party...This is friendly , family sort of place and locally known for a good time. ...new owners seem to want to tone it down a bit...
Not what I expected
After hearing everybody rant and rave about Beachwood I was not impressed the greens are in terrible shape the drainage on the course is very bad and there was too many people rushing us. A foursome of members told us to let them play through just to wait on them for the next six holes! Not what I expected after the race reviews if your looking for a better course value and experience wise I recommend twenty valley!
