About
Willodell Golf Club of Niagara is neighbored by Lyon Creek to one side and Tee Creek to the other. The championship layout sprawls across rolling hills covered with mature trees, which border the undulating fairways. Several ponds and two creeks come into play on 10 holes. There are numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with in addition to the water hazards. The layout features a mix of driving holes, strategic holes, and some tough par 3s. Being so diverse, the golf course appeals to a range of different skill levels and tastes. The fifth hole is Willodell Golf Club's most difficult par 3 with trees right and left and a frontal bunker that forces a full carry to the green, which is also bunkered on both sides with grassy lateral hazards that sit beyond the sand.

renting a cart was terribly expensive ... have a walking disability and was a necessity, however. Lots of poorly kept fairways including a general 'wave' affect... ever 4-10 feet there were seemingly intentional inclines and declines... very strange.
Tee boxes and fairways were in poor shape
I liked the layout but the tee boxes and fairways were in need of quite a bit of maintenance. It’s unfortunate because the course has potential. The greens seemed to be in good shape.
Very nice course

5. Easy drive from Peace Bridge. Wish it was closer

Great course but 5 hour rounds are terrible
When you see "Hot Price" perhaps there is a reason. Tee off after an all ladies tournament. Horribly slow, 5 hours. 11:00 to 4:00 in the blazing sun. Never do that again. Pay more and get normal conditions. Course itself it very nice with some challenging holes.
Nice course in great condition
Really enjoyed playing here. The grounds were in great condition including the bunkers. The bar area needs improvement though the girl working there was excellent. Will definitely return!
Not impressed
I have played almost every course in the Niagara region this year, (many of them several times) and a handful of others outside of the region. This is the first course I was truly disappointed with and will not return to (and I am not a picky golfer, I love courses like St. David's). The top 3 disappointments were: the fairways were in awful shape, the layout is rather boring, and they charged $50 for a cart for 2 of us to do a twilight. Sorry, but come on... anything more than $30 a cart for a twilight at a mediocre course with dying fairways is kinda ridiculous.

Misleading Posting on Golfnow
We booked a fouraome on GolfNow and nowhere, did it say that it was a walking rate thus us we presumed it was riding rate however when we arrived at the course we were told, . No, this was a walking rate and you should’ve known this by the price you paid for the rounds. This was not only very misleading. I feel that it has happened multiple times at the course since they seem to have a standard answer. This is totally unacceptable by the course and GOLFNOW. I have requested that golf now change the verbiage on their site to reflect this

Great Value!
Willodell is known to have some of the best greens in the Niagara Region. The tee boxes seem a little beat up, but that's because the tee blocks are too far apart, thus not allowing the grass to recover. The layout is challenging with many tee options. The staff is friendly and range with "free" practice balls is a nice bonus albeit irons only are allowed, but still nice for a warmup. I would definitely recommend the course to anyone especially the hot deals through Golf Now make this course a must play!
Hidden gem.
Great hidden gem in the Niagara area. Greens, fairways and tee decks in great condition. Probably the best value for the price. Will be back.
