About
Willodell Golf Club of Niagara is neighbored by Lyon Creek to one side and Tee Creek to the other. The championship layout sprawls across rolling hills covered with mature trees, which border the undulating fairways. Several ponds and two creeks come into play on 10 holes. There are numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with in addition to the water hazards. The layout features a mix of driving holes, strategic holes, and some tough par 3s. Being so diverse, the golf course appeals to a range of different skill levels and tastes. The fifth hole is Willodell Golf Club's most difficult par 3 with trees right and left and a frontal bunker that forces a full carry to the green, which is also bunkered on both sides with grassy lateral hazards that sit beyond the sand.

Outrageous cart fee!!
It’s a SHAME, that this course is a cart gouging course!! $25 per person and in the same cart!! $50 for two people to ride and it only benefits the course to speed up play. So why are you charging so much for a cart?
Something needs to be done about this and the other courses that are doing this… aside from that the course was in decent shape and the greens rolled nice. Simple layout. Highly recommend to walk this course and take your time!! Maybe they’ll stop charging so much….
Great morning at Willodell
Great morning playing at Willodell with my son who was visiting from Nova Scotia. Tee decks, fairways and greens were in great shape. The only things that took away from a perfect rating was a fair amount of sitting water in the bunkers and some sloppy pathways between holes on the back nine. Other than that was a great test of golf with a park like setting. Really enjoyed it!
Great Course!
We played about 12 hours after a decent amount of rain so we were a little worried about the course being unplayable due to standing water. We were surprised to find that the course was in considerably good condition even with the rain.
The course itself played pretty long but was decently open on most holes if you can’t keep it in the fairway. Greens were decently slow, likely due to water from the rain.
Overall I would absolutely recommend this course to anyone interested in treating themselves to a nice course while still being a good price. Definitely a hidden gem!

I had enjoyable game with my wife and I’m sure we will be back soon enough to play.

Excellent course
First of all, the weather was excellent, and once we arrived at the course pro shop, personnel and starter were very friendly and accommodating. The course was an excellent condition. We will be back to play it again this year.
Fun but repetitive
Willodell is full of very straight, medium to long holes with little character. Great full sized course for beginners or someone looking to have a relaxing golf day with few challenges. Greens are slow to slow medium pace (when compared to other courses in the area). If all you do is play par 3 courses and you are looking to try a big course, this is a great stepping stone.
Nice Course
We walked the 18 holes- it has very little hills and a straight forward layout. Wide fairways with mature trees. Great burgers in the halfway house. Definitely going back. I saw some nice merch in the pro shop.
