Royal Niagara Golf Club - Old Canal Course

Got there before our tee time and checked in. The starter gave us instructions and we were on our way to the first tee of the Old Canal course. It's been a while since I'm golfing here but there was a good deal on Golfnow to make it worth the 1 hour drive. As I had said I've been here maybe 6 or 7 seven times but I never was able to play this particular 9 so I was glad we made

It. Both the front and back nine courses were in great shape for this time of the year. The only negative thing was the greens had been aerated recently so your putts were bouncing a little at times but it was still a good golf day. Both my golf partner and I agreed that we should come back again, and that is top priority on our list without a doubt. I recommend this course to anyone who wants a top notch golf course to play. I'm sure you would be glad you did. The cpro shop is atvground level and has easy access and the employees are friendly.

Recently this course has fallen off a bit but I’m glad to see at the start of the year it’s shaping up to be a great ones again. Rough was a little long due to rain I’d imagine which made finding the balls hard if you rolled into the rough but overall looking forward to teeing up again

Still a lot of water on but considering all the rain we have had still a great course and fun to play

very dissatisfied. Course was closed when we arrived. Hope to get a refund.

First time to play here. Drove from Toronto to play here because they had carts (spouse had hip replacement surgery and can’t walk 18 yet). Staff were super friendly and accommodating.

Greens a bit oversanded but in pretty good condition considering it’s early in the season.

Early spring wasn't expecting much, but was surprised on the condition!

Can't wait for later in the season to come back

course was closed when we got there. Would like a refund. Very disappointed drove from Burlington to Niagra Falls to find out course was closed.

When I got to the course, they said they didn’t have my teatime. They said GolfNow teetimes weren’t even there. And they had their own bookings for the same time I booked. I would’ve had to wait an hour and a half just to start the round and would’ve never gotten done before it got dark. So we left the course and I got stuck paying the reservation fee of five dollars and change. Very disappointed!

I had book golf reservation through GolfNow and when I got there, they were double booked. They didn’t get our bookings till later in the course and a double booking everything so we’re an hour behind. We did not bother going because by the time we would finish it would be dark Very disappointed with Royal. Thank you.

PS. I still am short convenience fee!

The Escarpment Course is very challenging but was fun. The course was in great shape except for the recent aeration of the greens. Once you got he speed down 2 puts were normal. The Old Canal course has several blind landing locations so familiarity helps a lot. It was cart path only so we tried to play cart golf but that didn’t happen fun. Fall golf much fun.

Been a few times to this course as it’s local. Went after they punch the greens and put sand on them…..there was A LOT of sand. The greens were pretty much unplayable after this BUT this is just what happens at the end of the season. To be expected. The one thing that would’ve been nice with the greens being so terrible would be a little bit more of a deal than they offer, I had $3 taken off the original green fee. Any other time this course is so good! The fairways are very nice, pace of play is always normal, people are good and just really enjoy the setup.
