About
Brentwood is a 1980s-style course with narrow fairways, loads of out-of-bounds, and water in play on more than half the holes.
Two par 5s stand out on the front: the opening 540-yard eye-opener, and the 517-yard No. 6, considered the toughest hole of the front nine.
On the back, the par 5 530-yard 15th hole is rated as the most difficult.
Getting there : From I-10 east, take the Walden Rd. exit and turn left. Drive approximately 4 miles and turn left onto Major Dr. The course is .5 mile down the road, and the entrance is on the left side of the street.

The staff was very friendly and professional. Good people. As usual I enjoyed playing today.
Love the course
I play usually at an average of once a week. The staff is good to me. I enjoy my time there.
Good conditions
Course in good shape. Only downside was backup on front nine.
Has potential...
This course has tremendous potential. Nice layout. Challenging holes especially numerous Par 3's over water. Needs a good manicure.

It's another fun round at this course! Always very friendly staff and the course is quite enjoyable!
First Tine Here
Great course, super fun. Not to long, great for my senior abilities. Greens kind of beat up but still allowed for fair putting surface. Overall great course for me.
Greens
They have lost some of the greens fairways fair shape all and all not bad for the price
Improved Course
I haven't played here in over a year, and I had read of some work done on the course. Fairways were much improved and greens held well although they still had a few bRE Sure spots.
Greens
Love the layout. Course is awesome. They’ve got nematode issues and trying to come back. Sand traps were poorly maintained as well.
Greens were sanded
Greens were heavy sanded they did not drag them lot of greens you could not see any grass other than that fairways were in fair shape needed to be mowed along with the rough
Good day
It was wet but nothing too bad. I was told in the clubhouse that they sanded greens so it would be dicey. I will be going back in a few weeks once the greens get back in good shape.
Much improved
Course is in very good shape. Efforts to improve are paying off
Nice layout
It was cart path only and I was hitting wild shots. Temp was 95 and hot. The coarse wore me out but with mowing and some low spot filling it could be a very nice coarse.
Good course but Greens Need Work
The fairways were well manicured and maintained. Several greens were in bad shape with dead spots. Overall the course plays well.
Very enjoyable play
I love this course as the head of pro-shop and all staff are very friendly.
