Brentwood Country Club
About
Brentwood is a 1980s-style course with narrow fairways, loads of out-of-bounds, and water in play on more than half the holes.
Two par 5s stand out on the front: the opening 540-yard eye-opener, and the 517-yard No. 6, considered the toughest hole of the front nine.
On the back, the par 5 530-yard 15th hole is rated as the most difficult.
Getting there : From I-10 east, take the Walden Rd. exit and turn left. Drive approximately 4 miles and turn left onto Major Dr. The course is .5 mile down the road, and the entrance is on the left side of the street.

Great course ruined by greens
Sadly they have sand and spiked every green, the fairways are in great shape. Normally I would say this is one of the best courses and value for money when the greens are in good shape! Wasn’t aware that I needed a rake for a putting green this time.
Wet
Course had a lot of rain the day before I played. So course was very wet. But it seemed like greens and fairways haven't been cut in days. Also greens are in terrible shape most are only half covered with grass. The greens haven't been in good shape in months or year. Picked up ball and left course after 10 holes. Wouldn't play now if it was free
Great time at the course
Great thanks to the friendly staff and food was great .Was a little wet but we loved the golf course
Fairways are in really nice shape. Nice playing surface. Greens aren’t in the best shape. Some are good, but several have dry patches with no grass and are covered with sand.
Course conditions were pretty bad. Fairways were full of weeds. And needed cut. Greens were worse.
I like this course. But seems like every time I play it. It’s like the groundskeepers been on vacation. Fairways were full of the white weeks. And long. Made it hard to find your ball in the fairway. Greens were rough. But understandable with the freeze we had this year.
Beaumont Golf
Always enjoy this course. Especially like the short par4 on the front that sits on a mesa.
Not as good as it could be.
Greens needed some work, and the pace was way too slow. Granted, it was the day after Christmas, and the first pretty day we’d had in a while, so it’s not really their fault. Typically love playing here.
Decent place for a discount round
Was fortunate enough to get a discounted Sunday afternoon tee time for two. Found a decent clubhouse and a nicely laid out course with a few unexpected challenges. However, the physical facilities, cart paths, bridges, toilet structures, etc... are in sad condition and seriously need of some up dating. Most of the tee boxes were currently in rough shape quite often making it hard to find a suitable point to utilize. While most are very playable and in fair condition, A few of the fairways resembled SE TX cow fields more than fairways. The majority of greens are relatively well defined and groomed but could use a little TLC.
