Brentwood Country Club
About
Brentwood is a 1980s-style course with narrow fairways, loads of out-of-bounds, and water in play on more than half the holes.
Two par 5s stand out on the front: the opening 540-yard eye-opener, and the 517-yard No. 6, considered the toughest hole of the front nine.
On the back, the par 5 530-yard 15th hole is rated as the most difficult.
Getting there : From I-10 east, take the Walden Rd. exit and turn left. Drive approximately 4 miles and turn left onto Major Dr. The course is .5 mile down the road, and the entrance is on the left side of the street.

One of the best courses in this area if not the best.
Booked online and in and out of the pro shop in less than two minutes. Course in great shape. A few greens are still in recovery but you can tell they are putting money back into the course. Easily the best public course in the Beaumont area.
Atrocious. Greens were 90% sand 10% dead grass. Fairways were overgrown and totally bumpy. Not ONE flat tee box. I felt like I got out of a boxing match from all of the bumps and potholes on the cart paths. I enjoyed playing with my partner, but would have enjoyed hitting my ball in the fairway off of the tee and being able find it! I would NEVER play here again.
A scenic afternoon on a great course!
Even without a tee time the wonderful staff got me out on the course in a matter of minutes. Once on the course I was faced with a beautiful blend of undulation, pristine fairways and great rolling greens. The highlight of my round was taking their #6 signature hole to it's knees. Would recommend to anyone look to have a good time.
Blamed it on the rain
I was in the golf profession for almost 20 years both maintance and proshop side of it. I had to stop playing after nine holes. Fairways haven't been cut in weeks it looked like and the greens looked like that haven't been mowed in a week as well. Couldn't get a 3 footer to the hole without hitting it like a 10 foot put. It's sad I use to enjoy playing that track. Won't go back till they get the course in shape for play. Save your money go somewhere else to play!
Worth the price of admission and then some
Golfers need to make Brentwood their home course- well kept the greens were amazing.
The staff were exceptional, they allowed my son and I to borrow a cart and check out course.
Take note more club houses should be this friendly.
I hear rumors that this course may close - that is sad. This course has it all friendly staff very well managed course and great prices.
STEP UP Beaumont this course is worth the price of admission and then some.
Good course. Car paths need work
This is a nice course, with good greens. We played after some heavy rains the days before, so the course was wet and soggy. But otherwise the course is a good challange. The car paths need some work because the concrete slabs are all unleveled and you have to really slow down the cart. They probably add 10-15 minutes to the round.
Needs help
What a shame. Brentwood has fallen to the bottom of the list of places to play in the Beaumont area. The layout has alway been a bit sketchy in spots but conditions used to make it worth playing. Not anymore. From the tee boxes to the greens, there are real issues. Bunkers are unplayable. The fairways are a bumpy mess, catapulting drives in all directions. And the cart paths will destroy most 4wheel drives much less carts. Can't think of anything positive to say except Mother Nature seems to be trying to reclaim the green on the ridiculous short par 4 6th hole. The elevated green is slowly collapsing in the gulley behind. Good riddance. Turn it into a long par 3 already.
Hope someone finds a way to revive this course. We really need a decent place to play in Beaumont Texas.
A great local course thats improving
Played a few months ago and the greens we are GONE!! Played today with some friends and i couldn't of been happier. all the greens are back and very fast. Cart paths use to be a problem but they have laid stuff down on top of the bad spots. very impressed with all the new improvements.
Great time with family
First time playing Brentwood and we had a blast. Course was very wet from recent rains, but that didn't stop us. Great layout, just a little under kept due to rain. Will play again.
Bumpy
Riding a cart was a challenge, the cart paths and fairways were very bumpy. The course layout was very nice.
Decent gourse, good value.
There is a short par four on the front with an extreme elevated green. Unless you can hit an accurate flop, you may be looking at a big number here. Don't miss long either as there is a unseen hazard behind the green.
Flukester & Sons
Had a great time but any time on the course with my boys is a great time especially beatin their butts with a 76
Rough fairways
This is my home course. It's a great course except some of the fairways are extremely rough. Since the restaurant left they have vending machines for snacks and drinks. Greens were not "green" but they were thick and in good shape. I really enjoy the course.
this is a nice course
this is an pretty nice course it needs a little more tlc.
Bouncy Ride
Greens have improved for the most part. Some still have small dead spots. Sand traps are typical of the area, i.e., fairly hard. Fairways on many holes give a bumpy ride but are cut. Roughs are weedy but not severe. Many fairways need watering.
this course has great features
I enjoy playing this course, beautiful layout, great staff , a good time.
Mystic Creek Experience Stay & Play Package
You should try going back! I played it recently and coming from a near scratch golfer I can assure you the course is in much better conditions than what you are describing. Greens were rolling great and the fairways were all in good shape. You should for sure give it another go!
