Batteaux Creek Golf Club

Members came off of 18, they started on the back 9 and cut in front of us for the front nine. The starter set them up and cared little that it backed us all up. We ended up doing our 18 in just over 5.5 hours from waiting time at the T box to finish.

The course is in excellent condition. The greens were well groomed as well. The Marshall was on site and monitored the pace of golfers. Restaurant was fast and accommodating. Would recommend the course

the front 9 was very enjoyable. But the 3 ladies who had been golfing ahead of us let 2 others join them and became a fivesome; the ranger let them go off like that, even though we were a threesome behind them. It meant we had to wait on every shot, on every hole, and it made the back nine very tedious and not enjoyable. The ranger came on the course twice and still let them play as a fivesome. Not good.

I'd been told by a couple people that this was one of the best courses in the area, yet it still took me about 3 years to finally play it -- got a hot deal on GolfNow.

I really, really enjoyed this course. Sure, the greens have some moles and acne; and the greens are still filling in from the earlier aeration; and there's a LITTLE bit of winterkill here and there on a couple fairways -- show me ANY course in the area that doesn't. But let's be realistic -- it's still very early in the season here. I can see what this course will be once it fills in a little bit, and it will be phenomenal. Notwithstanding the early green conditions, they putted well if not quite as fast as I'd like or expected. The layout is fantastic -- I didn't see any "trick" holes or unfair design elements, and the entire course is walkable. Drainage appears to be fantastic -- I played on a much hillier course a few days ago and it was much, much wetter.

Others have commented that the clubhouse is lacking. While it certainly isn't going to win any awards, it offers almost everything the average player could want -- a decently stocked pro shop, and a place to get a quick snack & beverage. About the only "complaint" I'd have relates to the lack of a locker room -- it would be nice to have a place to get changed, if necessary (note: there may in fact be locker rooms; I didn't see any, but I may not have looked around enough).

About the only other thing I'd comment on is the lack of any picture of the hole on the tee boxes. This isn't a big deal, though, as long as you have the course guide book -- gives you all the imagery and various yardages that you could need.

Course staff were very accommodating, let me out earlier...golfers were also very courteous and let me play through and able to join another group. Fairways were perfect, greens had recently been aerated..Liked the layout, hazards placement made you have to be accurate...would recommend the course..

Championship Course but need a decent Club House with some atmosphere.

Every hole had a different degree of difficulty....one needed good golf course management.I would diffently play again plus tell my fellow golfers.

Played in the area all week. Batteaux Creek offered best conditions in price range, in spite of heavy rain previous 2 days.Poor drainage in bunkers produced standing water but course appeared to be well-maintained aside from this element.

Cart path only play was definitely justified to prevent any damage. And , one would expect a bit longer round when this is the case. But 5 hrs 10 minutes is not on a course that is set at 4hrs, 9 min.

And to exacerbate the agony of that pace, we had a foursome in front of us that continually parked their cart in front of the green so they had to come back to us while we were waiting to finally hit our approach shot. Appeared to be locals so they should be better versed in etiquette than they demonstrated. Certainly someone in the group could have suggested to get the cart across from the pin or deeper so they could make a quick exit.

Had a great day at Batteaux Creek. Course was in good condition considering the recent weather Course is long but playing off the forward tees was fine. Got round in less than 4 hours

Liked it so much I'm playing with my son on Saturday.

I was in the area for a day trip from Niagara. I really enjoyed the course and will definitely play it again.

Even though the course received 55 mm of rain , it played really well. Greens excellent condition. Bunkers need work Considering the drought conditions this year the course is in great shape. Was first timer and will definitely go back

Greens in excellent shape in spite of recent drought like conditions. like the way some holes skirt Batteaux Creek but water hazard not a big deal.

Selection of tee blocks makes for extreme challenge ( blue tees) but white and yellow tees offer par opportunities for the weekend golfer.

Enjoyed the course , extremely windy conditions that were a challenge on a course like this that is wide open. Horn blew us off the course on 16 so didn't get to finish up.
