Love the Abbey

Considering how wet the grounds were, the course was in great shape. Sadly people are not repairing their divots, and there were tread marks all over the course. Kind of surprised it wasn't cart path only.

Play at Glen Abbey

Hi

My wife and I had a wonderful round at Glen Abbey Golf Course today. We managed to get in 17 holes before it got too dark.

The course conditions were so lush and green, a bit soggy in the lower areas due to all the rain recently.

The group in front was a bit slow so the 18th hole could not be played.

This is a fabulous course, a lot of Interesting history here if you know where to look.

I saw Jack and Arnold here a long time ago.

We will be back for sure.

Balls on practice range were in terrible shape and muddy

No breakfast items (hot sandwiches or bagel with cream cheese would be nice)

Greens were very bumpy and a lot of unrepaired pitch marks - annoying

Difficult to get a decent food service during play - lunch was good

Terrible slow play obviously packed too many golfers into too small a time frame

3 groups on most tees

No Marshall’s to manage traffic on course

Greens covered in ball marks not tensed to tried my best to fix a least 2 per green

A must play for the PGA history

A nice track and a must play for the significance it holds in Canadian PGA history. It's the shoulder season on a Monday so most of the amenities were closed. The course was in fine shape, minus the rained out bunkers. Overall still a real beauty, especially the back 9.

Terrible. I had to use the washroom at the end of the round, and they had locked the halfway house bathroom, ladies bathroom. I went to the main club house and some young girl in the pro shop at 7:00 pm had the nerve to say I couldn't use the washroom, as it was just for people dining in the restroom and that I would have to go back to the 10th hole. After spending $1200 of my company's funds to take clients out golfing I couldn't believe it. Sorry Covid doesn't cut it, not sure what she was thinking when she said this or if this was what she was told to say. Anyway, wasn't going to tell her that I was having dinner in the restaurant. She was clueless. Bottom line.....will be spending my money at Eagles Nest from now on. Glen Abbey not what it used to be.
