Glen Abbey Golf Club

Having played Glen Abby many times ( first time in 2021) this was very disappointing for several reasons;

- Staff seemed very junior and disinterested and poorly managed.

- When we arrived to the parking lot there were four young attendees all sitting, eating, telling stories and swearing. They were not interested in servicing us at all.

- no drink cart on the course

- course was full of litter at every tee box

- no marshal and very slow pace of play

- Restaurant menu for diner was minimal and very disappointing

- During round of play in hole #18 my shot flew to the left of the green. I yelled four and it hit a golf cart which turned out to be 2 golf carts with 4 Glen Abbby young employees. They approached my girlfriend and I to give us a lecture and to advise to be more careful in the future or we could be sued. The most unprofessional discussion ever.

Not sure if the change is due to the sale of Glen Abby but the course was in great shape the experience was not worth the money spent and overall disappointing. Will not be back again unless there is improvements.

Love this course for its wide open fairways, classic holes and ease of play for most handicaps. It is a Canadian icon and and worth playing while we can.

Had to take my wife to emergency.

One of the most spectacular courses I've played. Challenging, but not gimmicky. Difficult, but not impossible. You can score well, if you can master the quick greens. A truly picturesque, immaculately kept course. It was my first time out and it will definitely not be my last.

Very nice to be able to play this course again. Third time this season 2021. Hopefully it will be around for a long long time

Good course. Well organized for Covid-19. Slow pace of play, unfortunately. Otherwise a good experience.

Friendly staff, great course conditions and a great pace of play. Didn’t have to wait on a single hole.

I have played Glenn Abbey about 50 times and plan on playing it as much as possible before they most likely tear it down for houses.

This course has a big time golf feel to it that is hard to match in the area or probably Ontario.

The greens are firm and consistent across the course, some of the tee boxes are starting to show some slope from side to side, I am guessing to a lack of future plans for upkeep.

Fairways are in very good condition, really nothing to complain about here if you are not playing good golf as far as course conditions go.

I pack my own food and Gatorade as the halfway house food is average and pricey.

Staff is always friendly.

Enjoy this historic course before "progress" turns it into more housing.
