Glen Abbey Golf Club

My rating for value for money was due to a promotional discount, I would reconsider if paying full rate for green fees. 1. The starter was going to allow a group that was 20 minutes late to take our tee time. 2. The starter allowed the late group to approach the forward tees to organize, which was done in a loud, chatty fashion. 3. The late group continued to display poor etiquette throughout the round. 4. No marshals monitor the course to control pace of play, close to 5 hours. 5. There are a lot of shots in which a GPS on the mandatory carts would have been helpful. With the reputation Glen Abbey created over the years as a PGA Championship course, I was expecting so much more.

even only playing 11 holes, because the other holes were under water. Still a great course.

Very beautiful and challenging track. This was my first time playing here. I was surprised that there was no beverage cart during the game.

The Abbey is not in as prestine condition as you would see before our Canadian Open but still enjoyable treat now and then. Sandra's dont seem to be as well taken care of as usual. Lots of hard areas less sand. Makes for a difficult day if you cant avoid them. Everything else just seemed regular and not extra special.

Great course and friendly staff! I've never been disappointed whenever I play here. Kudos to the groundskeepers and maintenance team for keeping this course in top shape. While the price is a bit on the higher side, it's definitely worth playing at least once a year. Though I've never managed to par #18, it's my favorite hole thanks to the unforgettable Tiger Woods moment from the bunker at the 2000 Canadian Open. Keep up the great work, Clublink!

I love Glen Abbey because of its history and Canadian open events. But I will only play it once per year as a novelty experience. The golf is great but for the price, you would expect better on-course services. There is no marshall on the course to ensure pace of play. And what course of this calibre has no food and beverage carts? I guess they figure a halfway house is all that’s needed.

Easier than I thought that it would be. I hope to play it again.
