Otter Creek Golf Club
About
Otter Creek Golf Club is situated in the idyllic farm community of Otterville, Ontario, which is only a 30-minute drive from Woodstock. The rural landscape was formerly farm and tobacco fields, lending a unique, rustic character to the golf course. The layout sprawls across 300 acres, winding through the scenic, wooded valleys of Otter, Cedar, and Spittler Creeks. Dick Kirkpatrick, one of Canada's top golf course architects, designed Otter Creek Golf Club. Kirkpatrick designed the course with players of all skill levels in mind, incorporating minimal forced carries and six sets of tees to make it more accessible for those who are new to the game

Hidden Gem
I've played this course a few times now and have enjoyed it every time. The layout is beautiful. This course is a hidden gem for the price. Highly recommend playing this course.
COVID conditions
Poor course management of course, even considering COVID times. Bathrooms in terrible shape, course is rough and can tell they are not putting $ into it. This is my second round here this summer. I will not try it again until 2021
Enjoyable course
I have played here a fair amount and always enjoy the course. But. I was very disappointed with the sand traps condition. I work on a course so I understand covid issues but the traps are unplayable and they don't have to be. Weeds going in all traps. Put some effort into the traps for a more enjoyable day.

Fabulous!
I’ve been coming here for years dispute living an hour away. The staff makes a fabulous course even more welcoming each time. Pace of play is always great and the course offers a real fair but challenging round. Great job Otter Creek.
Nice hot day !
Course was in great condition except the bunkers had not been raked since last year. Unplayable ! Rest of the course and day was great !
Links course
Be prepared to hack out of fescue on this nicely laid out course. It is a challenge. I wouldn't recommend walking this course. All in all a good day helped by good weather
Had a great day
This course is always a favorite, but, during these trying times, we were very pleased. The course was drying out a bit on the fairways, showing brown spots, but, offering a bit longer ball run. The greens were good and played on the fast side. The carts had dividers, but, since we were 2 couples, each couple rode together, so, we had the plastic dividers removed. The carts were sanitized and distanced from one another for ease of loading and to comply with social distancing. The staff were most helpful and pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed the outing and would recommend as the best we've played so far this year. They also offered food & drink between nines with the bbq going and the smells enticing.
A Tough Course with Quick Greens
When we go to Otter Creek, we always expect a tough round due to the challenging layout and fescue. Last Sunday it was even more challenging due to the quick speed of the greens. I've never seen them that fast. None of the 7 other guys I played with were happy saying it was too tough. The only thing I didn't like was paying full price for a course that can't even be bothered to rake the sand bunkers even once a day?!?! COVID is not really an excuse for not raking bunkers at all!!
Ladies bathroom
Lack of attention to ladies bathroom, especially during COVID. No paper towels, TP empty. Told club house at beginning of round. Used facility again at the end and had not been cleaned. At any other time of the year that would not be acceptable, but during COVID I was surprised at the state of the bathrooms. I really enjoy this course otherwise and will play it again. I am sure it was an oversight and willing to give 2nd chances.
Good day for golf
Played in a foursome We moved right along and had no delays. Took us 4.5 hours to complete 18 holes. As far as courses in my general asea , this is probably the best one ( if price is not a factor). You need to be a long hitter to score well. if you want a fun day at a decent course ... this one will do just fine.
The course
I noticed this year that the bunkers were getting weeds in them. Now was wondering if they didnt do anything yet due to covid because they also had paint lines for making those bunkers bigger. Also noticed the fairways were little brown but thats probably due to it being so dry. Overall this course is still challenging and a fantastic course. If you ever ate thinking about playing it dont think play it its totally worth it.
What a great hidden gem.
I loved this course. Well worth the drive from the GTA. Amazing value, friendly staff. Didn't get a chance to try the restaurant because of the covid regulation.
excellent as usual.
Fantastic course always fun to come back. course is in amazing conditions with fantastic true rolling greens. pace of play would of been fine but we had a slow group ahead of us. all in all one of the best courses around the area.
Great Golf
Arrive 15 min before your tee time .Shared golf cart with a plastic sheet dividing the cart Good set up .Course in great condition.Driving range closed. Bunkers of course ...no rakes .. .refreshments could be had at the half way house .Excellent set up by management re covid crap ....
Thank you
Best value in the area by a mile!
This was the third time that I have played this course and you will not find a better value than this! This course is always in exceptional shape and the layout has a bit of everything. It begins with an opening 4 holes that play like links golf, however it quickly changes as you go down into the valley on hole 5. I cannot say enough good things about this course, and for the price, I will be returning many times in the future.
A gem in farm country
We make an annual visit to Otter Creek from Hamilton (1.5 hrs) each summer and always enjoy the course! Conditions are always excellent and love the fast true greens! There are a lot of elevation changes throughout the course as it meanders on a large property. You get to use all your clubs in the bag which is a bonus! Great practice range, putting green and chipping area! This course will frustrate you a bit if playing for the first time - you will play some holes differently after playing it once or twice. Really good value here despite the long drive but worth it!
Hidden Gem
You will love this course. Great variety and challenge for all levels. Well maintained- greens running very fast. Great finishing hole
