Otter Creek Golf Club
About
Otter Creek Golf Club is situated in the idyllic farm community of Otterville, Ontario, which is only a 30-minute drive from Woodstock. The rural landscape was formerly farm and tobacco fields, lending a unique, rustic character to the golf course. The layout sprawls across 300 acres, winding through the scenic, wooded valleys of Otter, Cedar, and Spittler Creeks. Dick Kirkpatrick, one of Canada's top golf course architects, designed Otter Creek Golf Club. Kirkpatrick designed the course with players of all skill levels in mind, incorporating minimal forced carries and six sets of tees to make it more accessible for those who are new to the game

Gotta go to Otterville
This is without question one of the best courses, private or public in the province. The playing conditions are pristine with very little damage showing from ball marks or divots. The bunkers were in questionable shape but this was due to much rain over the last 24 hours. Don't miss this course. It is worth the drive to Otterville.
You need to prepare for Otter Creek
This course is in great shape and has several long carries if playing from blues. Well worth the money if you feel your game is on track and you're ready to take another step.
Course conditions exceed many high-end private layouts!!
Yes, the sand quality is shaky but the balance of the course is exceptional; grounds maintenance is first rate. Blue tees are a solid challenge for a low handicap while the Golds would test a tier two pro for sure. 4th hole can be viewed as a soft touch or a breather; other than that you get an exhilarating ride. If your score goes south get the camera going to ease the pain.
This course has always been my favourite in all aspect.
Love the course, would love to be able to drive the cart to my car when loading my bags, since my spine is not fit enough to carry such load.
Good tees,fairways and greens
Best practice facility in the area. I think that because rounds are down this year the fescue is up high and the bunkers could use some work. The tees greens and fairways however are excellent and the design is nice as is the scenery.
Tough
Great golf course overall! Very challanging.
If you are looking for a nice course that will challenge your ability's this is a must play!
We tee'd off at 9am saturday and never saw another golfer. Very nice for golfers but a course of this calibur should be drawing more people in to play.
not for high handicapers!
Great conditions, not overly busy
Didn't get finished due to thunderstorm. The holes we played were in great shape and difficult. Looking forward to go return
PGA Caliber
Otter Creek Golf Course is a difficult golf course! There are NO easy shots … NO gimmes
You're in for a test of your abilities to keep the ball in play on EVERY hole! Each fairway is relatively narrow … and each green a tough test
The practice facility is FANTASTIC! Sand bunkers are available to practice from … as are a putting green and markers for your iron and driver … giving you a full range experience.
The golf course is in excellent shape … as an 18 Handicap … it's a very difficult challenge but you'll have an idea of the shape of your game after a round here. The pro shop is friendly … the 19th hole excellent and you'll want to discuss your day's adventure whether it was the one shot you'd like to take over or the one you made to win a 'skin'.
If you're a duffer … use the practice facility … don't bother trying to play this course! It's a true test of golf … PGA caliber and at a price point YOU CAN'T DUPLICATE ANYWHERE!
Worth the drive to Otterville
Incredible course that is just as challenging as it is scenic. Even the short par 3's were tough with pins tucked in small areas guarded by bunkers. My only complaint would be the sand in the bunkers...it doesn't match the quality of the rest of the course.
Tough course, excellent value
Paid $32 for a holiday rate w/ cart, which is great for the quality of the course. This is a better course than Innerkip and costs much less if you check golf now. The course is tough, so make sure you are playing the correct tees or it will be a long afternoon. I have played here 3 times and the only bad thing I have to say is # 12 is unfair. Par 3 from an elevated tee, green slopes away to the back. Plays from 199 or 167. I haven't seen a player stick on that green. Great shots will funnel off the back of the green. See for yourself.
Excellent, scenic challenge.
Great variety of holes with little relief in terms of difficulty. Bunkers are below par but otherwise Otter Creek is a hidden gem in rural Ontario.
Gorgeous course, impeccably kept
The course is in excellent shape. There isn't one with any more natural beauty than this course has. A delight to play!
Course has some challenging holes. Nice place to golf..
My partner and I were able to tee off early, which we appreciated.
Not very busy so we were able to golf quickly.
Great condition , tough greens
Overall very enjoyable course, mint condition and a crazy good course layout
this place is amazing check it out
this is by far the best course in the area. Anyone that tells you different plays pinnacles and says they are as good as a ProV 1
One of the Best
I play this course 3-4 times per year for the challenge, the beauty and the beast in it. Hole 4 is a bit too short, and the par 3 on the back with the sand and slope away green is unfair. That's it. I don't even whine about the gulch on the 9th any more. It is a particularly beautiful setting calling for all the clubs in the bag and challenges your ability to bend the ball to make those par/birdies. Lots of elevation changes, sand, water, the works. And the home hole is just plain gorgeous.
Play it!
Great layout
Otter creek has a nice layout with some challenging holes, with several different tee decks you can make it as challenging as you wish. My wife played the course with me and found it to be very beginner friendly from the ladies tee`s, the practice facility is well equipped for a good warm up of all your clubs. The sand traps do however need a bit of work (keeping in mind it is early in the season). The pro shop and club house staff are very friendly.
Definitely add this course to your must play list, we will be back!
This is one of the best public courses in Southwestern Ontario,
Otter Creek is a challenging course especially in the summer with the rough, trees, creeks and sandtraps.
Great course...great deal
One of the best in Ontario. Just when you think you're having a good round you reach #7, 8 , 9. If you don't place your shot perfect you'll be in trouble the rest of the hole. For being late fall, the course was in great shape with very few leaves at all on the greens.
cold and rainy
Definitely designed for the longer hitters. Need to play smart as opposed to being over aggressive. Be pre
pared to lose balls if you can't hit straight. I would definitely play it again.
