A rough diamond
Fabulous design and beautiful course that is a bit worn. Very friendly staff. Loved the greens. Terrific value. Will definitely play again.
Not quite the course I remember.
Course is still decent but a bit of a disappointment. I told my 15 year old son who is becoming quite the avid golfer how nice the course was. Took him there to experience the fast sloping greens. Turns out they had just sanded them and greens were terrible. Back nine is still beautiful. Just a bit disappointed in the experience.
Fun and challenging course with a great layout
Always in great condition with fast greens and a halfway house that you can hit up multiple times while playing 18.
Old Style Golf Course
Cherry Downs is a formerly private golf club turned into a clublink course. You can now get pay as you play t-times.
It's good value for $60-70 per round. Tight fairways, well designed holes with hard (as in concrete) and fast greens. This course looks like it used to be amazing when it was private. Now, it's a bit tired with so-so t-boxes, decent fairways and greens that used to be amazing, and now are just hard and fast. I guess that's what you should expect for the money they charge now.
Don't get me wrong - it's a really nice course set in a Valley setting (near 4 Seasons if you're familiar). Just a bunch of small things that could make this course so much better. For example - the practice range t-boxes are very poor (could be just new in the season). Overall turf management is ok - but not great.
As for amenities - the clubhouse is the old style building that has seen better days - same as the course - tired and old. NO DRINK CARTS, but there is an out-building after the 6 / 12th holes I think.
If you want a challenge for a decent price, this is a nice track.
First time playing at this course.
Very pleased with the course. Staff was very friendly and helpful. . Number of challenging and unique holes, would definitely return back.
