Cherry Downs Golf and Country Club

Very fast slopey greens. Avoid downhill putts.

Challenging Par 3s, all uphill.

Good mix of hole layouts.

Quality golf course for a fair price and better than some courses costing more.

Will play again when I am back in this area.

Tough course. Not for beginners, greens are fast and will penalize if you’re on wrong side of the hole.

Great walking course if it’s not too hot, a nice walk in the park. Beautiful, mature tree lined course

As one of the few Clublink public accessable courses you would expect excellent a course in great shape, esp. for the high cost. Unfortunately this was not the case: tee decks and fairways were rag-ed, many bunkers were poorly presented, fairway divots not filled. The overall condition was poor. I played okay although I did not score well - greens were rolling well - with many 3-putts.

Finished 15 holes only cause storm. No rain checks, no one in the pro shop for ten minutes

waiting.

Overall Course is in a good condition. Greens could have been better, they must have been just cut and sanded. (lots of sand). Good pace of play, finished in 4 hours. Course layout is a bit tricky especially if you are playing for the first time. The only downside was the condition of the carts(rundown, not too much of amortization and comfort. Seat had no soft padding left, so pretty much was sitting on the frame with leather). Good driving range with 10 spots to hit some balls before the game. There is a putting green, but no chipping area.
