Cherry Downs Golf and Country Club

It’s not Augusta National but close enough for me.

Course is very challenging and I very good shape. The issue is that the cart paths need work and the golf carts, not sure if they are all as bad as shape as the o e we had.

First round this year for 3 of the 4 players. 2-players don’t play regularly. Not a good choice of course for the first round. Quite challenging. We played on a Saturday morning. There was a twosome behind us which is unusual at best. We let them pass after 6-holes but were sternley warned by the Marshall about the group in front being 2-holes ahead. We quickened our pace as much as possible but received a second warning that came with the threat of having to forfeit a hole. At this point there was no sign of a group behind us. We held up no one except the twosome. Our round finished in 4-1/2 hours. We paid $150 plus tax per person. I say lighten up….
