About
Black Diamond Golf Club was carefully carved from the foothills and hardwood and pine forests of the Kawartha Oakridge Moraine. The natural landscape, which is covered in fescue, provides many challenges including several elevation changes and water hazards. The layout is unique in that the front nine is more of an open, links style with a double green and numerous pot bunkers, while the back nine has a more traditional North American character. Black Diamond Golf Club's back nine has a few tricky blind shots that present a formidable test for players of all skill levels. The golf course also has rolling fairways lined with trees, carefully sculpted mounding, and 70 strategically placed bunkers throughout.

Golfer Reviews
Tight Course
Great challenge. Leave the driver at home the driving is very tight. Greens play well and positioning is important.
A True Test of Your Ability.
This course has always been a true test. You must think about your shots and not simply "Blast Away". I love the changes of the hole design as it mixes up the degree of difficulty and really challenges you.
One of our favourite courses around Peterborough
Course always in good shape; staff helpful and friendly;
course offers challenge and scenery
Greatest course in Durham area
Memorial memders tournament wit memorial garden ceremony and great food. What a day !!!
5 1/4 hours on Thurs am tee time.
I like the course but it is always more than 4 1/2 hours to get around. Last time it was 5 1/4 hours. No longer worth the drive.
Fun course
I had a lot of fun playing here. Very challenging back nine with enjoyable shots from all angles.
My only criticism would be that the bunkers could use nicer sand. They were all very firm around the green. More like mud. Otherwise awesome course. I will gladly recommend.
Fun Challenging Course
We enjoyed playing Black Diamond. Some challenging holes that got the best of us. But we hope to be back soon and show it who's boss. :) Only thing that could be worked on, is getting rid of the stones in the Bunkers. Other than that, love the layout.
See ya's soon,
Terry.
Too slow in that day when we play, because the marshal does not control two group in front of us th have 6 players all together. When we try to ask him to do so, he turn around and ran away
Great course, BUT
I like playing this course with it new layout.
But make sure you ask if there is a tournament using the course if you choose a later tee time. Extremely slow following tournament hackers, even if they where playing best ball.
Always A Pleasure To Play
Greens were in very good condition considering the wet spring........
Two holes are still awaiting for the re-built tee decks to be completed......
Clean the rocks out of your bunkers!!!
Good challenge on a nice condition course
A fun and challenging course in fine condition. Especially good when discounted. No matter how often you play it, it's always going to be that challenge.
Enjoy it when you can go at a relaxed and relatively leisurely pace
Rain
Course has actually dealt well with the tons of rain we have had in last month. Only played 14 holes before the rain had us soaked. No soggy spots, greens expectantly slow & fairways were soft so little role.
New layout
Played course for the first time this year and as always it's in great condition. myself and playing partners really in joy the course new layout and have always thought it's good value for the money. We strongly dislike having to book with a credit card a will not play course as often because of this. We have played black diamond on average seven times per year for the last eight years a it is difinly in our top three favourite courses Keep up the job and thank you
Nice Course
A nice course with some good views. Greens can be challenging for a novice golfer. Dried up well for early in the season.
Avoid the Johnny-on-the-spot near the third hole!
