Port Dover Golf Club
Played 18 by myself today in about 2.5 hours. Teed off at 7:10 and was back at my car around 9:40. No one in front of me. Course in pretty good shape considering dry season we have had. Another enjoyable round at what used to be Lynn Meadows. Nice improvement by new owners. Looking good.
Better than expected
Wasn't too sure what to think when I booked the round, but I was pleasantly pleased with the golf course. Course was in good shape. Only a few traps but they were good quality. Not a long course, but the pin position on the greens made it tough.. Some steep sloped greens made putting a challenge. Good value for your money and would definitely play again if returning to the area. Had a 50% sale a golf caps, so that was a bonus too. For those worried about their Covid-19 standards, there are signs posted throughout the course suggesting to keep social distancing, Must wear mask in the pro shop/cafeteria or washroom building. Carts were being cleaned, but they do not have a divider between the passengers. Was okay with me, as I was golfing with my wife.
Good value for the money.
The course isn't really that bad. I have played here prior and the course is usually in pretty good shape, but with this really dry summer the greens are a little on the hard side which is a problem with all courses in this area. Up to now they were the only golf course where you could book some tee times that included a cart and the price was very reasonable. If all the other courses around here keep gouging golfers with over priced walking rates I'll play here from now on and it wouldn't bother me a bit.
Port Dover Golf Course
Nice course.- back nine provides more challenge. Staff were great!
Always a great experience!
This course has never failed to be enjoyable. It’s challenging but not so much to take fun out of it. Dealing with the staff is always a delight and the conditions of the course are always getting better and better. My favourite course hands down
Busy
Nice course very friendly staff. Course was very busy which made for a slower round.
Great 0uting
Excellent round at Pt. Dover. Course is in terrific shape especially after the rain on the weekend. Course and amenities have been upgraded considerably since last year. We had a cart with the green fee for @ $30 through GN. Wonderful deal!
good value for the money
Course hasn't improved that much over the last 3 years. Greens need to be cut and not just laid over
Generally very playable with smallish greens
Great course - friendly staff
This course is now called Port Dover, formally Lynn Meadows.. if heading out to Port Dover make sure you confirm the address of the club.. there are two golf courses and sometimes people make the mistake of going to the wrong one..
Super friendly staff and the greens and fairways were in excellent condition..
We played 18 in just under 3 hours..
Course has pros/cons
Great course. Well kept. Great condition. The reds/ladies tees have been moved significantly closer to the holes and subsequently the whites and blues moved up. The distance no longer matches distance on signage or score cards. As a female, I often played from the whites because they are now located at the old red tee offs.
Pleasantly Surprised
Drove out here from Hamilton because we couldn't find an early tee time anywhere. Was greeted in the driveway by Nick, a very friendly guy that went over the rules due to Covid. Very friendly staff from the front desk to the starter.
The course, except for a couple of uneven tee boxes, is in great shape. Beautiful fairways and tough but fair greens. We played the blues and found it to be a good challenge.
We walked, and although it was hot, it's not a tough walk. Lots of shade due to the mature trees on the course. That being said, keep it on the fairway, or you are going to be blocked out of a clear shot to the green.
We definitely will come back here and would recommend it to anybody.
Cow pasture.. with greens and flags
I’m not sure who was paid to write the past reviews but they made this course WAY more then it is! It’s your typical out in the country cow pasture
Greens were slow and bowl shaped for water run off
And the layout was typical back and forth
There wasn’t one hole on the course that I would say was a great hole... very basic and very bla
The staff were great, friendly and courteous
Aside from that there was nothing to this course
Thankfully it was a hot deal with cart.. not worth paying any other price
