First time in a long time
Hadn't played Blloomington in many years. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The course was in really good condition. The new tee boxes present some new challenges and some significant length on a few holes. As I remember from previous years the greens were flat and not too fast. This is a really fun course to play, easily walkable. I will definitely return. I enjoyed playing at Bloomington Downs.
Value for money
Expect this course to jack up the price as the updates end. It is an easy and forgiving course but it can be so slow if you go during a weekend round.
Course conditions were excellent
Recent addition of new tee boxes made a HUGE improvement over temporary tee boxes on my first game. Overall course conditions were excellent. Greens were a bit slow but consistent for the 18 holes. Finished the round (threesome) in 3.5 hours, probably due to being second tee-time for the day. I will definitely come back to this course
$11 is ridiculous to book on line. Fee should be paid by golf course as part of overhead.
Terrible Pace of Play Surprising
I play this course often and really like it. But when we played recently I was shocked at the pace of play. Foursomes had been sent out on 10 minute intervals which was not great with the crowds that day. At the end of the round I went into the pro shop to complain that it had taken over 5 hours to play, and we had to wait at least 5 minutes on each tee. The staff guy could not have cared less.
