Tee boxes
The tee boxes are very hard and it is very tough to press the tee in to the right depth. Some of my tees broke during this effort. It does detract from the enjoyment of the game.
Bloomington Downs
The tee boxes were hard as a rock maybe cause it's been so hot this year with very little rain. The pace was a little slow as I could see a group of newbies holding everyone up.
Great Experience after 6:00 pm
My friend and I decided to take advantage of the Super Twilight fees and enjoyed the front 9 holes on a lovely August evening. Great Conditions on the course, and staff were friendly, polite and helpful.
The greens and fairways were great. Tee box you need a hammer to put your tee in
Marshals should be out more often to increase the pace of play. We had a foursome in front of us that would video their tee shots and take forever on the greens!
Maybe avoid Fridays.
We've played this course often and quite like it. But on Friday Aug 12/22 the pace of play was abysmal. We waited on every tee for several minutes and even had to wait on most fairway shots. On one par 5 we could see 3 foursome ahead of us on the same hole. Really felt like they were forcing thru as many people as possible. The round took over 5 hours. I hope this was a one off or we'll have to play elsewhere.
Nice course overall
Overall this is a nice course and the recent upgrades that they have done are excellent. My only complaint is that the ground on the teeboxes is so hard that it’s almost impossible to get your tee in the ground. Had to use a rock to hammer it in!
Definitely will play here again!
Thanks!
Fix the tee off area
Never been to a golf course whereby the tee off area’s grass was as hard as concrete ! Marshall was rushing our walking foursome to move faster while the twosome behind us drove a cart . It would be sensible to apply some common sense why we will be taking longer but still within reasonable time range at each hole. Secondly, they really need to do something to fix the grass at the tee off area. It was close to impossible to put our tee in because the grass was as hard as rock! We literally had to spend at least 3 mins at the tee area to push the tee in. Wouldn’t recommend people to go there but driving range is nice.
Great in many ways. Poor in others
We love this course for a number of reasons including it’s quite beautiful and lovely layout. The things we didn’t like about the chorus where that they Tia foxes were so hard it took a long time to actually put a T in the ground. It was a real hold up for us and made our game a lot longer than we had hoped for. We also were really pressured by One of the Golf marshals who insisted we move along quicker although somebody actually had cut through and played pastas so they could get to their next appointments. Also we were a little disappointed at not being able to order food at the ninth hole and also that there were no vegetarian options. overall though we really love the course and would play there again
great course- HARD AS STONE Tee Decks
Great cours.. .but the new Tee Decks have been made with too much 'clay' and therefore it is almost impossible to push in a Tee.. broke 5 tees trying to push them in.
Good course
Only critique is that the ground of the tee boxes is really really hard. Difficult to even stick a tee in. Led to some wasted time and frustration. Otherwise great course.
Nice improvements
I hadn't played here in about 10 years and was pleasantly surprised by the improvements: new tee boxes, new blue tee blocks and the course was in great condition. My only complaints related to being stuck behind a somewhat slow group of youngsters and the tee ground being overly hard/compacted making it difficult to get tees into the ground.. I'll definitely be back though.
