This couse has great scenery and great features

The greens were being worked on and very slow. A couple of tee boxes were being reworked. The course itself is nice and challenging .We played with someone who played it before which was a big help because there are many holes where the greens are not visible from the blocks. Love to play it again when it is better shape.

challenging

Very nice Course. Not too many flat and or straight holes. Greens were still water saturated and were a littly mushy in the lower lying areas.

A little out of the way but worth it

Brant Valley is extremely good value for the money. The course has plenty of water running through it and figures in 12 of the 18 holes. But only on 5 of those will the water will be a deciding factor for your shot. Because of all the water the course can be wet after a good rain but you can count on it being in good shape. It's very hilly and walking is not an option that many take.
Green placement and slope mean many of the greens need a precisely placed shot.
Make sure you get a scorecard - you'll need the map. On 10 of the 18 holes the pin is not visible from the tee box. To compensate for it's difficulties and eccentricities the designer included no sand.
The staff is great, the clubhouse isn't grand but it's got everything you could want. There's a great deck to relax with a beer on and watch the approaches to 9 and 18.

Overall, scenic and very hilly but decent layout

It was cart paths only since the course was very wet in the low areas from the previous days rain. The golf carts are in rough shape with torn seats. Not a walking course for seniors.

Not Going Back

Tee boxes were bare. Fairways had many bare spots and weeds. Short rough was littered with grass clippings. Greens were slow, bumpy and bare in spots. Lack of yardage markers.

Some interesting holes on this course. Need top play more than once to appreciate and understand them.

This course is a little different. Golfers really need to play from the appropriate tee decks otherwise will find themselves in trouble on many of the holes. Course is well maintained, staff are great.

Accuracy essential

I haven't played this course for about 10 years, course has improved greatly in that time. Not a long course but small greens and creeks and trees on several holes make it very challenging. Although it was raining for half our round the greens stayed very quick and rolled true, although the aerated fairways had clay plugs on them still. A lot of elevated tees and greens make this course very interesting to play and a challenge. Good value for your money, definitely not a Glen Abby but a fun course to play.

Short But Challenging

The Tee Boxes and fairways needed a bit more maintaining but the greens were in great condition. Definitely a course that requires accuracy and strategy. Very much enjoyed it.
