Maples of Ballantrae - fun course
Conditions were pretty good with fairways and greens maintained.
The pace on the day was a little slower than I would've liked but there was a marshall on site that did what he could to keep the pace moving.
This course has a great layout and well taken care of.
Starting off with the staff and their friendliness to the first tee box and the view and layout, I thought this is nice.
The course at times demands course management which made your club selections important to play competitively.
I would not attend this course during a tournament.
I attended this course not knowing that there would be a tournament running at the same time. The greens were not properly organized and monitored. The course martial did not attend to ensure expedient play. At times my friend and I who played as a twosome had to wait 10-15 minutes to tee off at each hole. We are two experienced golfers who took 5.5hrs to play 18 holes. The course grounds were fairly maintained. I felt that I over paid for the experience. Perhaps the course should not accept other golfers while a tournament is running.
