About
Originally a 9-hole course, an additional nine holes were added in 1993, making this a very challenging 18-hole layout with a few monster holes from the back tees (6,721 yards). The course features wide, tree-lined fairways and small greens, as well as water that comes into play on almost half of the holes.
One local told us that short-iron play was important; however, that’s hard to imagine considering the length of some of the holes. Three holes stand out from the tips: Two par 5s play 600 yards or better (No. 11 is 643 yards), and No. 3, a 247-yard par 3. The rest of the layout is of a more reasonable length, particularly from the middle tees, where there are a few short par 5s under 500 yards as well as par 4s around the 300-yard range.
Getting there : From Houston, take Hwy. 290 west and turn right on FM 577. Turn right on Hwy. 105. The course is located 2.5 miles away on the left-hand side of the road.

Worth it
great course but had some ladies in front of us with a very slow pace of play and were not letting us go ahead.
Not worth the money.
The $48 tee time I paid seemed reasonable but was informed that the cart fee was $18….per person. I was playing with one other friend so the cart rental was $36 total. Highest I’ve ever been charged. My cart’s scorecard has already filled out and there was no sand to repair divots.
The greens were in good condition which is why I rated the course 2 stars but other than that the course was in terrible shape. So bad in fact that all of the par 3s, with the exception of one, were no longer than 100 yards using alternate tee boxes as the others were under repair. Also, the driving range was closed (not sure why) even though I called in advance asking about bucket pricing.
A decent course
Course is in a fairly good condition, few holes need attention of up keeping
Cart fee is kind of unreasonable two people riding pay twice as much as one player.I think the price is high.
Carts
I think tacking on an extra $40 for a one cart for a pair of golfers is extreme 20 per person even for the rider
After rain
The storm line that passed thru Wednesday evening dropped a lot of water. Some puddles in the fairway and soft greens. Great day to be out and plenty of places to wash balls or clubs. The remodeling is still in progress, the food is tasty and check the daily specials. Staff are friendly and very helpful. With the warmer days the grass is filling in nicely. Grab your clubs and enjoy.
Brenham Golf Course
The course was in horrible shape. I felt i was either mislead by golf now and or the golf course. I paid for a a tee time for 2 thru golf now as a so called hot deal. what I didn't know was i had to pay another $40 for the cart, i feel like that's something that should been disclosed while booking. The course is poorly designed. People where driving from one fairway to the next looking for their shots. People on private golf carts were rude.
Weekend golf
Always enjoy a chace to play. Course is in good shape after the weather. Roll out on shots is fantastic. Be aware the greens are super fast. Staff are wonderful and with construction going on checking in is at the bar area. So grab a snack and cool beverage. Recommend of course. If it's a nice warm day on the weekend, just relax and enjoy. Everybody and their cousins will be out.
No carts available online
Unfortunately, this course does not allow you to rent a cart online. Instead you can book a tee time for $22, and then be charged a $20 cart fee at the course. The “hot deal” loses a lot of its luster like that
After freeze
The course is in great shape, especially after the recent freezing weather. Greens are fast and plenty of roll out on the fairway. Staff are great and very friendly. Stop in for a bite of lunch if you get rained on at the turn. Foods good too.
Great course
Even when I have a tough game, it’s always good to be on this course.
Country Course
Staff no very friendly. Playing partners were polite and welcoming. Course was good but still a little wet from all the rain. Overall it was a pleasant day!!
Greens are Good 👍
If you are in Brenham, I would give this course a try. Greens were in great shape rolling faster than they have been in years. Pretty open course with some water. They are reconstructing the clubhouse so it will be interesting to see what we have in store, but this doesn't hinder check-in. Give it a try away from the noise in Houston.
