Uplands Golf Course
The Course was still having difficulties due to the weather.
Not worth the money
Played this course many times last year with no issues... this year the conditions are terrible! Everything is overgrown, can't find your ball if it's not on a fairway, and hole #3 is pretty much a swamp. $35 for 9 holes is a bit steep at this course as well. Only positive thing I can say about the place is that it's good exercise if you walk it. This is my first negative review of a golf course, and it is certainly deserved.
Great Little 9 Hole Course
Played 18 holes early in season w cart in about 3 hours. It very scenic as it's built within a ski hill with lots of woodlands. Best take a cart as it's REALLY Hilly. First hole needs solid drive followed by long high uphill shot. Challenging SHOTS with #3 a little wet due to early season. #7 a great driveable eagle par 4 when downwind, followed by #8 super challenging par 3 where you may want to use a driver, but it's makeable. Solid finishing hole #9 where a solid drive and 2nd shot will set you up for another eagle. Expect it to be hilly and some bumpy paths as many of the big tree roots are pushing up the paths. Just drive slowly. Carrie the GM and her staff were VERY friendly and helpful. Must be the new staff now under Golfnorth management. I would readily play this course again, scenic, Challenging, friendly and especially if short time.
Not Good Value
The course condition seems neglected, but there is lots of potential given the layout.
$30 for 9 holes is a little steep given the course condition.
Dead course
The lady at the club house is a mean snake. She was there last year too. Shame they have not taken her out.
Intreresting layout
Slightly altered Stanley Thompson design , some great golf holes esp number 8, 2,5, and 9. Walk only if in good health, fairly steep inclines between holes. Great 9 holes

The course has lot of steep hills. It is not recommended for push cart. Fairway is well kept and Green is very nice.
Scenic, quick weekday, convenient 9 hole play
Scenic course. Lots of hilly play so walking the course is not for the faint of heart. Cart path needs some repairs and regrading. If playing after it has rained be sure to not lose your shoes on hole 3's fairway, it needs to be fixed badly.
Club house needs work. But all-in-all if you can pay a reduced rate and want to try something quick in the area its worth playing it once.
Wow! Not sure who your talking about, but I found the GM Carrie to be very friendly and approachable. Both Geewan G1 and Lori the carts crew were helpful and friendly. I played 18 on May 2 in about 3 hours. Its very hilly but some very uniwue challenging holes. #6 par 4 driveable for eagle #7super tough but makable par 3. Conditions can be less than ideal after rains. Take a cart as it's tough to walk. Just drive slowly as the tree roots are pushing up on the cart paths....just drive slowly. Course is a great little gem in the middle of city.
