Golfer Reviews
I shot the best round ever! Course in great condition
Within city of Toronto proximity
The course has lot of steep hills. It is not recommended for push cart. Fairway is well kept and Green is very nice.
Scenic, quick weekday, convenient 9 hole play
Scenic course. Lots of hilly play so walking the course is not for the faint of heart. Cart path needs some repairs and regrading. If playing after it has rained be sure to not lose your shoes on hole 3's fairway, it needs to be fixed badly.
Club house needs work. But all-in-all if you can pay a reduced rate and want to try something quick in the area its worth playing it once.
The worst place to play.
The management there treat customers like nobody. They think they are the king. Many of my friends decided not going there to play. Even nobody to play on the course, they still ask you to wait half an hour for the next group to play together. There is an older lady,
She is so inflexible and rude, she does not like the customers at all and I do not know why she is working there. Even one plays there many times, they pretend do not know you at all. There is no customer care at all. If they want their business grow, they have to train their staff and be friendly and change the mentality toward the customer.
Tight and challenging
Stanley Thompson designed 9 hole course. Very tight narrow fairways with punishing rough for off line shots. Shortage in length but more than makes up for it in accuracy required.
If you cannot hit it straight bring lots of balls.
Tough and very hilly
Lots of balls lost.very narrow fairways on many holes especially from tee boxes. Drainage problem on 3rd hole. The greens are beautiful and we'll maintained. I have golfer there about 5 times and say I won't return. So many natural hazards. Even if your green fees are low you wish you paid more elsewhere.
Extremely slow pace. The course was not full but no Marshall to monitor pace. Had to skip 1 hole just to finish in 3 hrs for a 9 hole course
Good value, good challenge
Excellent Stanley Thompson old style rolling terrain
Target Golf
This course is very hilly and allows no room for error off the fairway. It is clearly target golf. The cart path requires an off road vehicle - it really needs work. For a first timer, more signs are needed to help with navigation. The 9th tee should have a periscope so you can see what you are hitting into. The course itself was in good shape, especially the greens. Water damage was expected but should have been more clearly marked. I was taking a guest from the USA and we did not want to do a 2nd nine even at the reduced rate.
Uplands
Challenging course. Beautiful views. Never got to play a full nine. Got rained out twice unfortunately
I just had the same experience with the same woman this weekend. Completely rude and thinks she is better than everyone. Uplands used to be a great course a few years ago but clearly they do not care about the upkeep or customer service. We played earlier this year and the conditions were terrible as the course was not maintained at all. It rained 2 days before we played earlier this summer, but immediately we realized the course conditions sucked. We got to the 3rd hole, it was completely flooded and muddy. You could not even walk through the fairway without stepping in puddles under the grass. All the cart paths are in such bad shape and falling apart that you can barely drive on them without hitting a pot-hole. Decided to give it another try this weekend and absolutely regretted it. This course is not worth a $44 at all (even a $9.00 hot deal is too good for it). Save your money and go somewhere else....anywhere else!
