Legends first time
Great track course knowledge is definitely important here very tricky fast greens great friendly staff definitely a must play if you like a challenge!!!!!
Where are the marshals?
The course looked very busy, staff mentioned there were 3 tournaments but they are finishing off. We played the Legend at 3pm and the pace of play was so slow. It came to halt at #10. At several holes there were 3 groups from the tee to the green. One hole there were 4 groups. Standing waiting at #11, we can see the holes ahead and there's a gap between 13-15, no golfers. We called the pro-shop, they asked what time was our tee time and said will have the marshal come out. We didn't see any marshal; the play continue to be slow. We called again to let them know no change and we want to finish 18, please have a marshal move golfers along. What's disappointing was, they knew its was a busy day, they should have had marshals all over the course.
Great day
33C was a hot day but made for great ball striking and fast greens. The speed of the green made it difficult to putt. But thats a good thing. Course was in great shape and played like a true championship course. We played blue tees at 6,600 yds it was a good challenge as this course is target golf. If you miss a fairway its not easy to find your ball.
I would recommend the Legacy course for an average golfer and Legend for the better golfers that wants challenge.
there are come dogleg holes and valley drop hole #1 that requires a precise tee shot or you will be harshly penalized with no easy recovery.
I was able to scratch out a tough 79 but it was worth it. Price was good and there are many good deals to play here from Golf now.
Pace of game.
Never was a beautiful game, course and day spoiled……it took over 5hrs to play 18!
Times where there were 4 groups on a par 4.
I was then told by staff that it will be worse tomorrow!
Thanks! 😂
Great Course
Best course you’ll probably play for around $100.
The finishing hole is worth the price of admission. Fantastic design and well manicured. The groundskeepers deserve a big high five
Golfers that hit greens should be smart enough to repair ball marks, but unfortunately some are not.
Beverage cart was very efficient.
Nice course
Woodington Lake Legends will test every level of golfer, reason why PGA Canada Tour has stopped here. Conditions and design above average. Greens speed and undulation tricky. At $85 with cart fair value. Pace of play can be slow at times mid week even.
Not Good Value
Played the Legend course. To drive an hour and a bit to this course, plus pay $100 for the round to find out out no carts allowed on fairway, disappointing. Okay move on, understand save the course after a heavy rain. Pace of play was really slow due to above. Not knowing the layout and no GPS on the cart, a lot of blind shots off of the tee with a patch of gorse and environmental friendly areas 200 yards. Hit driver and you’re penalized.
Pin placements were in areas of slopes and corners. A little tough for the average player which added to slow play. Greens, bunkers and fairways were in good condition. Had a free additional round play same day but could not get on because of amount of play. If you offer it then it should be available. Will come back and give it another shot but not at that price.
Ok course
Green was ok, fairway needs more works to make good golf course
Nice track
Enjoy playing Woodington Lake Legend due to it's challenging design, excellent conditioning and good value at $75-$80 cart included.
