Century Pines Golf Club
About
Century Pines Golf Club features a lush, parkland layout covered in mature maples, oaks, and pines. The trees border the carefully sculpted fairways and there is mild undulation in the large, fast greens that can cause the occasional uneven lie. Water hazards come into play on 12 holes in the form of large ponds and meandering creeks. Several sand bunkers are also strategically placed throughout. Century Pines Golf Club's final three holes are the most challenging on the golf course, possessing the ability to either make or break your score. These demanding holes require deft approaches, especially considering the treacherous water hazards on all three.

good track
enjoyed the day but i was charged additional fee for cart. When you read the small print on golf now it says walking rate normally it shows under the rate....strange. good track but a bit expensive for where it is.
Great course for the money - but WAY too slow!!
Good course, pretty solid all round, narrow fairways and small greens - make for a good challenge all round. However, the course is overbooked - tee times are 7 minutes apart - craziness!...the result was a 3 hour front 9 and a 2.5 hour back 9...if it wasn't the 1st round of the year we would have been way more upset. If they can correct that then you have a winner!
What a great day for golf in November no less.
The weather was fantastic, especially for November so the course was busy which accounted for the slower pace of play. The course was in great shape. They did a good job of cleaning up the leaves from the fairways which is usually the biggest downfall in playing fall golf and made the round more enjoyable. It turned out to be a great day all around.
Course was in good shape for late in season
Tee off at 9:30am and completed the round at 12:30pm. 3 hours was good and I thank the threesome who let us play through. Course is usually in good condition with the greens running decent speed and well taken care of. The greenskeeper at Century Pines really cares about his craft. Had a beer after the round - prices are too high at this course for this late in the season. Reason I don't go back more often is the high cost of this course.
Nice course!
Fun to play and plenty of challenge! Always enjoyable. Great shape for this time of season!
Course was in great shape
Not a long course but has some hole that have risk reward if you want to drive the green. Overall it was a good value and the course was in very good shape.
decent course
Played well, decent pace, decent shape. Added this text to get the submission in
Kaneff Golf Not Impressed
Worst golf experience ever! This review is more reflected on how bad Kaneff Golf is rather than the golf course itself. We booked a tee off and were send off 30 min late because they overbooked! The course is too tight. You can be hit by golf balls everywhere at every hole. No cart girl on an overbooked Sunday. One person at the club house to serve everyone. It took us 5 1/2 hr to golf.
Greens on the back recently aerated
All the greens on the back seem to have been recently aerated, so the balls had a bumpy ride on the way to the hole. Also, it doesn't seem like others take care of their ball marks on the greens compared to some other courses.
Other than the greens the course was in good shape. Some of the tee boxes were torn up but I think that was just because the course is over played.
Sand traps were very packed down, so you really need to play the ball like a chip and make ball first contact. Or just avoid them...
Pace of play was what I had expected for a Sunday afternoon.
Finally there are a lot of parallel fairways and greens that come close to one another so you do need to keep an eye out for errant shots.
Serious lack of Customer Service
Played Mid day and expected it to be slow, but 5 hours 45 minutes is the longest I have ever taken to play a round of golf in 40 years of playing completely unacceptable. (first time we were going to walk off a course).
Tee times are way to close together with many many twosomes being sent off. maybe Try to pair them up folks. Did not see a marshall the entire day. Garbage cans were overflowing on each tee. How hard is it to send a kid around to empty them?
Course itself was fine, good conditions, but the layout on the back nine has holes that are way to close together (tee's and greens). Making it somewhat dangerous.
We have typically played this course 5-10 times a year but now have it on the "boycott list" I wrote Kaneff's VP (from their website) and as expected got zero response.
Make it a quicker round and maybe they wouldn't have to have to offer discount after discount to play it. Too bad it's a nice course, but i will spend my money at Flam Hills, Copetown or Mystic..
some challenging holes
The pace of play always slow on the week end they need to space out the starting times
A pleasant day
Course in good shape; good pace due to tournament scheduled for later in the day; friendly marshals kept everyone moving. Done in 4hrs even. A GPS will help on a few holes where there is trouble.....distance to creek, etc.
Century Pines
The course was in good shape, and the pace of play was very good, however work was being done on the course all afternoon during our round, and the workers rarely stopped while we were shooting - in one instance somebody started a chainsaw in the middle of my playing partner's back-swing... we also didn't see the drink cart until the 17th hole, though we had assumed because it was a weekday they may not be running one.
Very Slow
I have played this course about 20 times over the past 4 years due to it's proximity,
Each year, the course gets slower and slower. Thought I would be smart this time a book a weekday t-off. No such luck, 5 1/2 hours of standing around.
This is definitely a result of poor management. I would hazard to guess they are booking t-times at 8 minute intervals in an effort to generate additional revenue.
Never pay full price if you want to golf there. Kaneff wants as much money as they can get.
Slow Pace of play
Really nice course with great scenery, but pace of play was awful, took me and my father 3 and a half hours to shoot 13 holes. On each tee there was a 5-10 min wait for the groups infront of you, slightly dissapointing.
enjoyable course
Good facility--greens are very tricky on some holes, but fair. A slow group ahead of us to start, but the starter/ranger kept his eye on them and kept them moving. A bit of a shooting gallery on some holes though. All in all, it is well recommended and was in very good shape.
Good track for value
First half is more fun and exciting than the second. Back 9 has too many similar short par 4s and forced lay ups off the tee. Course however is well maintained and green was great. Good value for money.
Overall good course
Other than the speed of play of some of the golfers I have no real complaints about this course. The staff, course maintenance and degree of difficult meet my level of play just right.
