Century Pines Golf Club
About
Century Pines Golf Club features a lush, parkland layout covered in mature maples, oaks, and pines. The trees border the carefully sculpted fairways and there is mild undulation in the large, fast greens that can cause the occasional uneven lie. Water hazards come into play on 12 holes in the form of large ponds and meandering creeks. Several sand bunkers are also strategically placed throughout. Century Pines Golf Club's final three holes are the most challenging on the golf course, possessing the ability to either make or break your score. These demanding holes require deft approaches, especially considering the treacherous water hazards on all three.

Great shape!
Course is in great shape considering the wxx we had lately!
Great fairways!
I really like this course. All Kaneff courses are great. Greens were slow. Fairways were soft and spongy due to wet weather. But reaaallly enjoyed the course. Would definitely recommend it!
Thanks. It really has been a wet spring!
Flood Zone
Recognizing its early in season, but this course does not drain well at all. It should not have been open as there were lakes on the fairways. We lost a few balls dead center in the fairway as the ball plugged out of sight.
It is always a challenge opening in the Spring at Century Pines. The conservation dam above us seems to randomly flood our course. We will do our best to make sure we open appropriately. Thanks for the feedback.
Great course for scoring.
The layout is a little shorter than most but puts more demand on shot placement and putting. The shorter holes let you score more frequently and the greens have a lot of undulations. Great last round for the season.
Century pines
Good value for the money. Course was in very good condition.
Thanks
Slow Round on Saturday
I like this course. Unfortunately, a lot of duffers play here. Also guys who play from the tips, but shouldn't. At this time of year, no marshalls out. Knew we were in trouble when the guys ahead of us were wearing jeans and could only hit the ball 100 yds. at a time. No red tee blocks either, so I guess they don't expect any women out this time of year. I would still recommend this course though. Just suggest that you get out before 9 a.m. Our fault for playing too late in the day, but it's too cold in the morning these days. No sun and some wind, but nice enough not to wear too many layers.
Thanks for the honest feedback. Pace should still move, Marshalls are needed.
This course has good value for the price
The course design is a little funky but it seems to be always in good condition. The pace of play can be good or slow depending on the time of year. The workers are all around which is great for the course but can interfere with play. My real complaint is with the players who play this course. Almost every green has ball marks that have gone unrepaired. This was frustrating as we fixed numerous marks on each hole. Friendly staff in the clubhouse. Good value for around $30.
Thanks for the feedback. That is really good. We will pass it along to all the managers.
Bad day to play
The weather was beautiful and the condition on the course too. But there was a tournament and people in front of us were learning how to play. Made the round so slow we had to quit at the 14th hole. The sad thing is that the marshall did not do anything about it so for a Kaneff golf course it's a shame!!!!!
Will pass along to our pro. Hopefully the proshop did something for you.
Very good course in good condition
We enjoy playing CP. There are some tough holes that make it quite interesting. It's a pretty course but some of the fairways are quite close together. Sometimes stray balls land on your fairway, so beware. Outside lounge is very nice.
First Time at Century Pines
Six of us booked two groups walking. The very inexpensive rate of $30something was an absolute bargain. The course is flat and easy to walk. The weather was perfect so that helped. The pace was very slow for the first six holes or so and it opened up. The marshalls were working and had smiles on their faces. There are some holes which seem to almost run into each other. It wasn't unusual to have golfers on neighbouring fairways. Given the drought this summer the course was in amazingly green condition. The greens rolled true. This is a very pleasant course. I will return for sure.
Demanded a refund
1. They would not honour "carts included" - saying that Golf Now had made the mistake. Everyone complained about this.
2. They were stacked! 35 minutes behind with 3 groups still playing the first hole. Yet they advertised many tee times on.Golf Now. The starter estimated the round would take between 5 1/2 and 6 hours.
3. The very low price they advertised attracted players who were not used to playing a course of this calibre.
4. I demanded and received a full refund before even teeing off on the first hole. I will never patronize this course again.
Not good, we don't have your contact info, could you email john@kaneffgolf.com with your experience.
Okay for the price
Walking rate for $ 33 including tax was okay for a course like this.
Immaculate condition
Haven't played this course in 3 years. But it is worth every penny. The course is in perfect condition. There has been no rain in 3 months and the course is greener than most private courses in the area. Worth every penny. Kudos to the greens keeper!
We will let Stoyan know your feedback, thanks! He has been under lots of stress with the lack of rain!
Great value
With the lack of rain we have had since May most public courses are brown and cement like especially when you are off the fairway. Not so for Century Pines. Course was Green and with lush fairways. While the drive from Toronto was almost 2hrs due to a back up on the QWE, the staff was very accommodating on being extremely late for the tee off. A number of challenging holes both from distance and positioning made the day. Only complaint is no Marshall on the course and a slow Group in front making it difficult to keep a good rythum going in the round as I was waiting on most holes on the front 9. Back 9 the Group was gone so pace was better and the round was enjoyable again. I will definitely go back.
Thanks for the feedback. Will talk to the Proshop about the Marshalling.
great layout
Went off the back nine the coarse was in great shape. Hit my second shot on a short paragraph 4 on the green and I heard an applause looked around and there was the marshal with a smile on his face so I tipped my hat and one putted for birdie. Then I finished my round with a 75 from the blue tees. Fairways greens and tees were in great shape. Would recommend this coarse carry a 3.4 handi
Wow, great score! Thanks
Century pines
With the long drought we've had, I've played several courses in the Burlington, Oakville and Hamilton area and century pines is by far in the best shape of the courses I've played this year and for the twilight price it was great to play.
Thanks for the feedback!
