Century Pines Golf Club
About
Century Pines Golf Club features a lush, parkland layout covered in mature maples, oaks, and pines. The trees border the carefully sculpted fairways and there is mild undulation in the large, fast greens that can cause the occasional uneven lie. Water hazards come into play on 12 holes in the form of large ponds and meandering creeks. Several sand bunkers are also strategically placed throughout. Century Pines Golf Club's final three holes are the most challenging on the golf course, possessing the ability to either make or break your score. These demanding holes require deft approaches, especially considering the treacherous water hazards on all three.

Good overall
Nice course, good overall test. Easy to walk with a mix of short and long holes
A GOOD COURSE FOR THE AVERAGE PLAYER , AT A REASONABLE PRICE AND WITH A GOOD MIX OF CHALLENGES.
FIRST PLAYED HERE 30 YEARS AGO WHEN IT OPERATED AS A "MOM AND POP" COURSE.
SAID THEN THAT IT HAD ALL THE MAKINGS OF A REALLY GOOD COURSE AND NOW THIS HAS BEEN ACHIEVED.
Like the layout of this course and I will be golfing their again.

challenging but fun..good condition
Nice course, well maintained fairways but tee decks and greens are showing wear from lots of use. Staff should remind golfers to repair ballmarks and replace divots. Provides a short but challenging layout. Low scores are possible if you can keep the ball in play. Great value for the price
good course
Good local course for the money. Friendly staff. You should hit the ball straight in order to play the course well.
Well maintained golf course.
Enjoyed our round of golf there.
Able to golf quickly for 13 holes, but then caught up to groups ahead and had to wait on every hole from then on.
Friendly marshal out on course, explained reason for slow play to finish.
Course maintenance needs work
Greens were in great shape and rolling well, but the course did not bag the grass clippings anywhere and there were clumps of grass all over the fairway and the rough, which was disappointing. It looked as though they were cutting corners on their maintenance budget.
Great value
Despite some recent heavy rain the course was in good shape. Really good value. The staff from the clubhouse to the beverage cart girls to the marshals were all friendly. Definitely play here again.
good layout with some challenging pin placements
Not a lot of strategy required here, just grip it and rip it. Don't rent a cart if the cart path only rule is in effect. The cart paths are generally well off the fairway and you will find yourself doing much more walking than anticipated... by the end of the round I felt pretty much the same as if I had walked the course. The fairways were covered with freshly cut wet grass that was left too long before cutting.
Very wet and very slow back nine
After the deluge on Friday it was expected to be a very wet. Te greens were fine but fairways were sodden.
Our only complaint was that the Marshall let in a two ball on the 9th which made the back nine unbelievably slow. (A) the twosome were very slow players and (b) the field could not take another group as it was already full. Lastly we never saw the marshall at all on he back nine when we could have used him.
We enjoyed our front nine but the lack of marshalling detracted from our whole experience.
As far as the golf course was concerned it has some interesting holes. There are a number of holes where you feel like you are in a shooting gallery as you have a fairway parallel to the one you are playing. Two holes have a long walk back which takes time if you are walking.
good course POOR MANAGEMENT
Unaware of what was ahead my son and I teed off at 3:30 pm on #1 right behind the last foursome in a tournament. when we were on the green the marshal directed us to the 10th hole as it was obviously very slow [ok so-far]. after teeing off on the 10th we discovered that we had 5 twosomes in front of us.
It seems to me that only foursomes should be allowed when there is a tournament held
We also skipped one hole on the front nine as we were tired waiting on a different twosome[ other then the 5] , they had two open holes in front of them and took ten minutes looking for a lost ball, with no marshal in sight
Nice course, but spoilt by dressing on all greens and backup on 10th tee.
Century Pines is always kept in good condition, but this time the greens had all been dressed with sand, but this was not identified either on their own website or that of Golfnow. The course has a good mix of holes with interesting water hazards. The bunkers contained light sand. With an early tee time (0738), I was disappointed to find a backup of three groups on the 10th tee when I got there. Presumably, they were allowing tee offs on both nines that morning, so I ended up playing the front nine twice.
The obstacles on this course are great
I enjoyed playing this course because of the scenery and the obstacles. The combination of trees, brooks, stream, ponds and sand banks add natural challenges to this course.
Poor drainage, but I guess 60mm of rain might have had something to do with that.
Good course. Very wet when we played it.
I'd go back.
an interesting course that requires accuracy more than distance
we played just after heavy rains so conditions were not ideal, still the course was in good shape. there are a number of interesting holes where finesse is more important than distance.
Good course for walking. Watch out for mosquitoes.
Good course for walking and for playing one 18-hole round in about 4 hours.
POORLY MANAGED/MARSHALLED WITH CROSSOVER TEE TIMES SIMULTANEOUSLY @HOLE#1 & HOLE #10
FRONT NINE VERY GOOD BUT PLAYERS STACKED UP ON THE BACK NINE AS STARTING TEE OFFS WERE BEING DONE AT HOLE #10 AND YOU HAD TO MERGE.
I QUIT THE COURSE AFTER 13 HOLES AS IT WAS TAKING 20 MIN PER HOLE TO COMPLETE THE BACK NINE.!
well maintained nice track
nice early morning walk, though most greens still had sand spread on them. well maintained fairways .overall nice course.
Course was in excellent shape
I have enjoyed this course over the years and has been very well maintained especially after the heavy rains the day before. It was however very disappointing to find out they were squeezing in players when they had a large golf tournament on the golf course, cn not argue about the price but I do not believe they should have sold these times through GolfNow as a hot deal, could not start on 10 as instructed and then sent to 14 to begin play and it ended up taking 5.5 hours to play.
Beautiful Day for a round...
Although the greens were slow, the course was in really good shape. The round took longer than I anticipated but the price was really good and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. A really easy course to walk.
Presence of Marshals is part of player's satisfaction. Witty marshals are asset for a course. Players should not be left at mercy of other players to set the traffic rules.
