Great Golf Day
My wife and I got joined by a single gofer: Andrew which made for a fun, relaxing round...always nice to meet new people. Thje course is in good condition...tricky greens but we needed to get there first! lol
Comeback Story: Marlwood Country Club
It is encouraging to see the tangible turnaround happening at Marlwood Country Club. The greens are rolling truer and the tee boxes have bounced back nicely. Management is currently filling in several bunkers; while this speeds up play, hopefully they keep the most strategic ones to maintain the course's character. The approachable layout keeps the game stress-free and fun for all skill levels, though the tree-lined landscape means balls can still go wayward if you aren't careful. Despite those trees, you can comfortably hunt for birdies without the fear of losing a dozen balls. While Marlwood remains a budget-friendly option for a casual round, the real story is the steady upward trajectory of the playing conditions.
Marlwood golf
Had a chance to take a drive up to this course this weekend to play here. Despite other comments I had a fantastic interaction with the Marshalls on the course. It wasn't to busy. The greens are really nice with good putting lines. Course was it good shape, a few nice challanging holes.
Interesting Course
The first couple holes were compressed but nice layout after that and without being too back and forth. Traps need work but everything else in great shape.
