Overall it was a course I would recommend to golfers of all levels of play. short course but greens well guarded for the big hitters.greens a little slow, unfortunately because of the pandemic the raised holes made putting inaccurate there are better designs that I have seen on other courses. .
It was .. okay I guess
Unorganized and kind of rude . Made us play with another group which I also didn't like . Course had horrible bounce . Would hit fairway straight on and turn 90 degrees on Impact into the bush 70% of the time. Won't be coming back . Average at best .
Disgusted with the Marshall
We teed off as a foursome and when we got to the second tee the group ahead of us were just leaving the second green. We ere in the process of letting a twosome play through when the Marshall/starter approached us and was telling us to speed up. Of course we did by sometimes just picking up our slow players balls and moving on I have played here many times in the past and always enjoyed it. Oh I forgot to mention the Marshall followed us most of the day which was pretty intimidating. Please train your staff to hav more common sense!
Some very tricky holes
From the moment we paid for our round I was pleasantly surprised by this course. The staff in the pro shop were friendly and made sure I was ready for the round, reminding me to get stocked up from the fridge before leaving. The Marshall checked the speed of play prior to us heading out and let us tee off ten to avoid a backup. The course itself could use a bit of water but the course was challenging yet fun. I really enjoyed our round today!
Marshal doesn’t know what he is talking about.
Nice course but a bit short.
Annoying Marshal came around when we were at hole #15 telling us we were late and behind by 3 holes.
No one behind us and we kept paced with the group in front of us.
At 18th, he came around again and congratulate us for finishing under 4 hours.
Otherwise great short course and Bill (Starter marshal) was great.
Love this place
It's close to home, I play about once a week. Staff are amazing! Course is fun and challenging.
Nice course and welcoming staff
We had a great time. The course was is decent condition considering we had 2 weeks of very hot temperatures and then a great deal of rain the day and night prior. We were very happy with the staff, and the conditions. We will be going back.
Good course for value
The course was in good shape after a small heat wave and then an abundant amount of rain. The staff was extremely welcoming and the course was fun to play. We will be going back soon.
Smart golf
Front 9 is a nice challenge to make you think with different clubs. The back 9 is a nice relief but dont sit back to much. Good conditions, greens were fast in the early morning and started to slow a bit later on.
Great course for accuracy
My son and I had an awesome Father’s Day round at Marlwood GC Wasaga Beach Ont. The staff was friendly and helpful in explaining the COVID 19 protocol relating to their facilities. We had fun nonetheless and lowered our scores and handicap.
Challenging front, forgiving back
You will be playing smart golf on the front 9 if you want a low score, let it fly on the back 9. It opens up nicely on the back to give you a good look at some pretty shots. The course is in good condition, greens were nice and smooth, played faced in the early morning .....slowed up a bit with the heat and strong sun.
Great course
We have played here a few times now and really enjoy it. Great condition. Happy with the course.
Good round.
First time out this year. We were happy just being out again but everything was good. Good condition. Good pace. Glad 3 washrooms were available. Beautiful day.
Pleasant Surprise
Grew up in the region but never played the course till today. Very enjoyable layout, lots of opportunity to try different approaches to holes. Greens were in fantastic shape. Highly recommend and would definitely play it again.
Covid Crazy!
Usually this course is great! I golf here quite frequently and really enjoy it, but bc of covid they seem a bit overwhelmed. It seems like they aren’t organizing tee times Well enough to compensate for lack of carts And groups using up to 4 per round, due to covid .... We teed off 40 min late bc there were no carts available. Finally carts came and instead of continuing to stager tee times by 10 min, ppl were teeing off at an alarming pace - which, as a foursome, made us feel rushed and we did not enjoy our time, nearly as much. We were pretty irritated to feel the pressure of the constant flow of golfers behind us. Ended up playing “best ball” game bc of this..... not the way we would have liked to golf, not the most enjoyable game today! Disappointed.
Good covid-19 experience
The course was in fairly good shape, greens excellent but sand traps horrible - they suggest free drops from the bunkers which are basically unmaintained. The course is short but tight. The front nine winds through a subdivision and is a good challenge. The back nine is shorter and much easier - you can score well leaving your driver in the bag. The greens are excellent putting surfaces but hard to hold - best to land short and roll up.
Covid-19wise- one person per cart unless you arrive in the same vehicle, no surcharge, raised cups, no touch pins,, and someone they run a beverage cart!
